Since I don't know where to post this at all and do not want to create 10 accounts on diffrent forums about computers, I guess I'll just post it here.
Like the title already says, my pc really likes to freeze up every 2 minutes whenever I watch any video on youtube or any other site and I have absolutely no clue how to fix this.
My pc is just two months old now and I have had this problem since day one. I have already send it back to the shop where I got the parts once and they have not seen it freeze a single time and they have even ran extreme stress tests on it.
Please, can anyone help me with this problem? I have tried everything but I can't fix it in any way. I have already checked for dust and opened the case a few times but I can't see anything and temperatures stay like they are supposed to be.
I would be extremely happy if anyone could help me. Thanks for taking your time reading this.

Does this happen with BeamNG as well? or only with YouTube videos? If so then that can be caused by the browser cache. Try reinstalling your browser or test it on another browser. I had a similar problem not too long ago.

That's the weird part. It only freezes when I watch videos on YouTube/Dailymotion, but it doesn't when I play games. I can play any game for hours and do not have a single freeze up occur, but when I watch a 5 minute video it just freezes 2 times in 5 minutes. And I also tested it on another browser not long ago and the same thing happened, but I'll test again in a minute.

Test result: I mostly use firefox and I tested the issue again with intenet explorer and it's even worse with internet explorer.

Is Chrome installed? I don't know why but a few systems that have rolled my way with "internet issues" on those two browsers recently have been remedied by removing a Chrome installation if there was one.

Yeah, I have Chrome installed. I'll uninstall it and see what happens.

It worked. For now. I still don't really know if it really worked so I'm not going to be too happy. But thanks for helping me out. I'll leave this thread here for a couple days and I'll post it here if it stopped the crashes.

It still does the freezing up sometimes and I have just had the worst one ever while starting Skype. It took my pc 5 minutes to recover from it. Also, sometimes it says the videocard driver is not working anymore and had to be restarted, But They have already checked the videocard when I send it to the shop and they replaced it and the new one does it too somehow. The videocard driver is fully up to date so I don't know what is causing this. Could anyone please help? I hope it can be fixed without replacing more parts.

The problem is, the freezing already started when I had just installed Steam on my pc. So there is almost no possibility of a virus causing it to freeze, but I'll have my antivirus scan my pc.

The scan just completed and it found no viruses or anything like that at all.

If it is steam related, can you update or downdate. That might do somthing.

Steam recently had a big update and it didn't really change much of the freezing. I don't think the problem is being caused by steam because when I play games on steam it doesn't freeze and it only sometimes freezes when I load a page on internet. I have also read that a lot of progresses running could cause it but I am only running 5 websites and steam right now. I'm kinda becoming afraid that there is nothing I can do about it.

If I were you I'd take it to a IT specialist or computer repairs shop.

You said there was a message about driver freezing or stopping? Did you try a completely fresh install of the driver?

It's probably "AMD/NVIDIA display driver stopped responding and has recovered." This points to an unstable overclock or dying card. If it isn't one of those I would think a messed up mobo.

I get this all of the time under really heavy load (100% core and vram useage for extended periods of time) with my GTX 760, but I don't think my card's dying and I even reduced it to fully stock clocks and voltages, which only increased the frequency of errors. Mobo, maybe?

About the mobo, this was what I was thinking too the first couple times it happened, but it looks like it shuts off all the power to the parts except for the fans and the leds in my videocard? It's a bit weird that it doesn't shut off the fans and the leds while everything else basically just stops working. And I didn't overclock my card at all, so I'm almost 100% sure it can't be the card. I guess I'll have the mobo replaced then since that's the only thing that can be causing the problem. Thanks for helping me out guys! :)

hmm, this happened to me once while starting skype, my computer has aged a bit (6 months) but with in the first 2 months I was opening skype and the whole pc froze up for the first time, after around 70 seconds it recovered saying "a driver had crashed, but is now responding" somthing like that, I think there MUST be somthing wrong with the gpu, it must be conflicting with another part? i'm not sure, the only time I was had freezing with a computer is when I was on my friends laptop, bumped it a lil but and the whole thin would freeze, it had a poopy HDD and it did not like moving at all :( but I don't know how to help

Have you tried newer or more stable display drivers? Had a problem like this on my old machine and a simple update fixed it. Other wise it sounds like a faulty card.
Maybe try your gfx card in a different pci-e slot idk lol, worth a try.
