Update Speculation thread

Also pretty sure not all of the teased content is coming in the immediate update, if only because of pattern.

 

It's so they have videos ready for when the update comes out

 

I believe the purpose of the Creator Program's Early Access was, unless I'm horribly wrong, to allow content creators to make their BeamNG videos early so that when the update comes out they can release a non-rushed video then as opposed to the previous situation of trying to get a video out as fast as possible right after the update, which might impact the quality of the video.

I hope I am not being rude, but I respectfully disagree. Here are the official guidelines for the Creator Program:
Keep in mind, the WIP content is just one of the perks (albeit the most exciting) of the Creators Program. They get Steam codes for giveaways, shoutouts from Beam themselves occasionally, and probably many more things that they don't say on the Creator's Program page. The point of the Creator's Program Early Access is probably so they can see what the video should feature. I haven't seen the NDA itself, but I'm willing to bet that showcasing even outdated pre-release software would technically go against it. Also, pre-release content is very likely to change, so it would look a little odd in a video, especially considering that these people are supposed to be anonymous, basically, so they don't get blackmailed by forum twelve-year-olds bribing them with V-bucks or something.

 

That too, but I'd assume that it'd be at least mostly stable to avoid overwhelming people with the "holy shit everything is broken" that's almost always the case at the beginning of bugfixing something.

You might have misunderstood what I was trying to say. Basically, this is what I believe the timeline might be.

Creator Program Early Access (Pre-Public Release)
- Creators have an early version of the update to start making their videos, however they are under the embargo as mentioned earlier so they cannot be released yet.

Public Update Release
- Embargo lifted, creators can now release their videos on the spot as opposed to just now starting the video making process as would be the case without Early Access.

Also, it's probably better in a marketing sense (especially as YouTubers seem to function as BeamNG's marketing in a way) to have the videos released right as the update comes out as opposed to hours/days/weeks later to maximize on the hype and the event.

If the update hasnt been released to the public yet, because of me not unpacking my computer after the move, i just want to say im so very sorry. Ill unpack it right away if thats the case, just hmu <3

Why else will the Content creator program be out.

So maybe bigger things is testing this new way of bring out some updates, ?

Guessing it's time to speculate teasers again. so what d you think might be shown this week? More news on the new car, a cool H Series or Pessima Variant, some sort of transforming refrigerator, or could it be something we haven't seen yet?

 

I dont know man, for me its quite obvious @Diamondback speaks to my missus:

'We need a bed before you hook up your computer'
'Our daughter needs her clothes before you hook up your computer'

...for me its obvious theyre talking. I just answered Diamond the way i did to see if the missus comes at me saying were out of coffee

 

A dev has commented here, this means the update is coming in 14 days, 9 hours, 13 minutes and 43 seconds

 

I wonder how you got this timeframe

 

wtf the devs being weird..

 

Maybe this update has made them loose their marbles

 

either that, or our constant guessing being so far off

 

If they really use the next teaser ( If there is any ) i would be downright disappointed if they waste it for showing props like the fridge.
