Update Speculation thread

There are two ways this update could go IMO:
If the devs are watching this thread and thinking “Oh no it’s gone to shit” then we get the update this week.
If they’re watching this and laughing their asses off, we get the update late December.

 

guys my grandfathers late uncles nieces nephew works at BeamNG.car and says that the update will come out.

 

Dunno if that's the case but they sure as hell don't fit to the car!

 

That's true, it's a very good mod but its taillights look a bit off to me. The Grand Marshal, being a Dev-Team original, looks much better.

 

Good thing: deleting shitposts
Bad thing: demanding more from the devs without knowing what theyre doing, could be working their absolute asses off and ppl here demand even more.

To get back on track with this thread:

Speculation: Someone said that the devs probably were going to come in and delete shitposts and say that the update is far off still. They did the first part. Could mean things. I do agree though that IF some ppl in this thread doesnt cool off then a week or so of locking thos thread could go a long way in that direction.

 

To be realistic, the game is still currently early access, and we've all paid for it. How many other things in life do you get to pre-pay for that you don't know what's happening with? Even game pre-orders typically have some marketing, the Beam guys haven't said much since June. They even cancelled the quarterly window for this, so it's been a while without any update. Not even a potential release window, as I was told by someone mid-November.

I'm just going to say, I don't know what posts have been made, but I only check the forums for updates on the game. They haven't been doing that here for almost a year and a half. Look in the microblogs. September had one about unified dash code. Cool, good for modders. Then the last actual "microblog" was asking for feedback on the triple monitor system in August of last year. Which still doesn't work BTW.

They've moved to Twitter, and they've gone months on there without saying anything either. This is not only the longest period without an update, but also the least communication since it was released.

 

All we know release window wise (potentially).

to the point where the devs have no clue what to delete so they literally delete anything for no reason at all.

i dont remember doing any kind of personal attacks whatsoever.

Honestly i think they copy/pasted those reasons for everyone as I got the same reasons here and I didn't say anything that would remotely break any of those rules.

 

Getting vibes of the old days when devs locked threads. I've done my bit trying to convey my feelings on dev communications (rather miserably I might say), and have just moved on. No one here really knows what is happening behind the scenes and my opinions on all this are not worth the exasperation on either side. No amount of bitching and whining is going to solve a thing, these devs do what these devs do. Staring at this thread slowly building resentments and angery will do absolutely nothing to make your life better. Re-read the dev post on this update, process that deeply, and get comfortable with the possible fact this update may not happen until late February. If that is impossible then good luck.....the anxiety will eat you alive and you gain absolutely nothing. Go play Wreckfest and take it out on me, I'd love to meet you.

 

I honestly agree with crashmaster, it'd be best to lock this thread, would give you guys a break from this, and it's clear it ain't gonna be civil with the people constantly asking for 0.24 every second.

i woke up today and noticed this thread was flooded with so many things.

to a point where dev deletes literally everything, i think its just better altogether to lock it up yeah.

there is absolutely nothing healthy to speculate about here at this moment, the update is near and everyone knows it.
lets just lock this thread up, let the devs work on the ACTUAL UPDATE.
and when you see that steam popup saying the update is released, well we can all go back to freaking out or whatever it is that yall do.
