The grille looks like the cherrier one (For the new car) And here is the car that have possibly inspired devs. And there is maybe the possibility that it would be decline as a break as the real car (Peugeot 508)
Why make a new brand? Keeping some line heritage seems fine, but I can sorta see how we're so spoiled in getting completely new brands for every new car.
In all honesty I'd rather not see a single new brand be introduced to the game for a couple years to allow for the following brands to actually get some development: Autobello - 1 car (needs more content, period) Burnside - 1 car (needs more content, period) Civetta - 1 car (needs more content, period) Soliad - 1 car (needs more content, period) Cherrier - 1 platform (needs older cars) Bruckell - 2 cars (needs both older and newer cars) Hirochi - 2 cars (needs older cars) Didn't add Wentward to the list as they're too niche imo.
I mean like I understand why they do it, I doubt they could've dropped the bus update and been like "hm yeah we'll call this the gavril b series for bus" because it's just a little too repetitive.
I definitely understand for the bus and cars from new countries (IE: Cherrier), but for now they really need to spend more time on the existing brands. In terms of time since the last vehicle, Civetta is by far the worst offender, getting its first car over 8 years ago and getting nothing since.
The new teaser might not show the real lines of the black car. Looks to me like the right head lamp is broken and the whole corner bent out of shape.
I guess it´s been said before but even though I thought from minute one that the new car was clearly going to be a Charger kinda looking american car, I´ve got the impression from this last picture that it might be some kind of maserati ghibli, answering both the demand for a fast car, luxurious and European as I believe we´re lacking It does have the wide back (haha) of the Charger , with the line over the rear wheel, the long hood with the tip angling down... The LED lighting looks similar. Also the could brand it as Civetta
I agree, the Sunburst is a modern car but not as modern as the FCVs. Also, the modern ETKs were made from 2013-2017 (800-Series) and from 2015-2018 (K-Series) while the Hirochis were made from 2009-2014 (Sunburst) and from 2013-2020 (SBR4).
Yes, Hirochi needs older cars but I'd say it's more important for the Flat engines to become the brand's staples in the BeamNG lore by powering all Hirochi models. --- Post updated --- True that, a Midsize Hirochi Sedan/Wagon powered by the Flat engines we know and love could be a very nice addition!
In my humble opinion, the front-end does not look very American - it could be EUDM version of a Gavril. However, I believe that the front-end resembles a car from Europe or Asia (Japan or Korea). Hopefully we will know pretty soon, as we might get the update before Christmas/New Year's Eve.
I don't expect it to look beautiful. It's a van, after all. But I kinda like the high roof and the bodykit they showed in the earlier teaser video.
Looking at the Passenger Van's roof makes me think that a Type 2 Ambulance could very much be possible.
I honestly believe that there's a lot more to the update that we haven't seen yet, but they aren't showing it to prevent the hype train from getting even worse.
I have no clue what to expect for the new car. Anyone skilled at photoshop who could merge the front with the outline from the old teaser? PS: This thread got waaaaaaaay more civil after the teaser. What a difference a teaser makes.
Hey, look at it this way, if it's ugly, that's more than enough motivation to wreck it 1,000 different ways, am I right?
They experienced withdrawal after no teasers for an extended period of time, leading to unintended side-effects /s
This could pass easily as the last teaser before the update, as it confirms pretty much everything, if we keep to current precedent. Starting with the new car, which is all but confirmed to be what's in the picture here, is in game, and unlikely to be teased if it was not upcoming. Secondly, the van has been confirmed as the main subject of the photo And the Pessima has recieved more than enough attention, mostly centered around the racing configuration. That about sums up the major expected content, and we could see this update soon. The WIP banner was not on the 'flocking to your PCs' tweet as it was likely that that had all been finalized at that point, so while I will hold my breath along with everyone else, I find tomorrow unlikely.
