Update Speculation thread

i'd say the banner is just to stop thousands of clueless people asking "how do i downlaod this?"

 

Shame. AWD would really be good to the 'new' Pessima.
Hope it's got the ESC at least. It's a mid-90s car after all and that's when the ESC started to be more popular either as standard or as optional equipment.

 

Aren't those new rims the old Sunburst rally rims?

 

If the skin uv changes which it probably will, then yes they will break, same with the pessima.

 

Definetly looks like a higher quality mesh and better materials, less glare too.

 

In all honesty about the new car, I still hope that it’s either an American modern muscle car or a Korean sports car under a new brand. We already have a bunch of Japanese cars so I don’t think we really need another one, but a Korean car would add diversity since we don’t have any in the vanilla game yet. It seems that many people think the new car looks either American or Korean, or possibly European (likely Swedish). That’s just my idea.

As to what the car could actually be… it could really be anything. Some other People have said it looks like every modern sedan in one, and to an extent I feel the same way. They are all so similar nowadays anyway. I guess we can only wait and see.

They may look like the Okudai TWE wheels but those have a bit thinner spokes and more rounded holes!

 

They do look pretty similar… it seems likely that they are getting remastered this update as I don’t see the devs adding two wheels that are so similar.

 

They indeed look similar. But I'm still not so sure about the TWEs being remastered, apart from the PBR integration obviously.

Yeah that’s fair enough. Looking at it again it is still somewhat different. One has triangular spokes and the others are rectangular.

Also the image is low quality so it’s hard to say but there might be an ibishu badge on them

 

They are new wheels, they're ibishu wheels and they have pretty different spokes from the TWE's

 

looks like the roads are PBR and everything else is still old materials. though i'm sure the ETK driving place has full PBR

 

How so? The fifth gen Mazda 626 and some Toyota Carina's had AWD, both of which are close IRL counterparts.

 

Touring cars of that era, especially BTCC, were FWD. The Carina E touring car was FWD, for example. Plus, the 2.7 V6 would probably not be able to fit with an AWD gearbox, since the motor would be too high up.

 

You just get a 404 warning these days unless he created a new one.

That's new. I think it's safe to say that the H-series is going to get at least two new grilles in the next update. While the one in today's teaser looked more like a high-end version for the existing fascia, this looks like a true facelift. Note that the hood has changed to match.

 

One thing that's strange is this.



Did this come from an earlier dev build which means the fascia was made before the side doors were made? but the interior looks different to the current public build.

 

I'm guessing that the existing body will remain, but the side door body will be available as an option.
