Update Speculation thread

My thoughts on why we may see the update tomorrow:

Firstly, by the few days before the update comes, we have a very good idea of what is coming with the new update; most suprises are not major, at least to the average player. The day before PBR/Pigeon/Wigeon, we knew of the Wigeon, the PBR, the Pigeon, and so on. The same goes for many previous updates. The creator program has recieved what it likely it's final update. I am inclined to think that it recieved an early build to plan the videos, and this build is to film and release. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow (with update tomorrow), is more than enough time to produce an already-planned YouTube video, most of the time. Then, with today's teaser tuesday confirming a great many speculations and expanding on others (as well as Nadeox's Imgur 'leaks'), we have a lot confirmed.

As far as the new car, here are the last few all new cars we've recieved haven't been teased with an update between them, and the ones that have haven't been shown and confirmed in game before hand. I highly doubt that the new car wouldn't come, and I think keeping it a secret is simply to build up hype.

My money's on tomorrow or next week. How long have I been saying that? Too long, probably, but I still think it stands.

 

I think this coming Monday or Tuesday are most likely. I still don’t feel like a Thursday would be enough time to fix bugs before the weekend, considering the scale of this update.

 

couldn't agree more. now we just wait for tdev to post the final countdown.

PS, the 'new' pessima has hillclimb aero so I think we'll see it get a hillclimb config.

 

Teaser wise we're definitely "endgame" at this point, especially with the imgur dump. The creator program has also gotten a couple updates so I'm almost certain they have early access already which shouldn't be too far away from the public release. I wholeheartedly agree, either tomorrow or Monday/Tuesday of next week is when we'll probably see the update.

 

I am inclined to think that they used the creator program as free bugfixes and reporting. And thursday updates aren't unheard of, 0.20 was a thursday update, and the first hotfix came on the 12th, the next wednesday.

Additionally, the two-odd-weeks-ago initial creator program comes just in time for the 2-wk 'feature freeze'
