You know I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed with the Bolide remaster, or at least what we've seen so far. It's just not different enough from the original, there aren't box fenders or side vents or anything... and the front hasn't changed at all. I would have waited a bit longer for a more complete redesign with more 037 or 288 GTO/F40 cues
My thoughts on the Bolide remaster, they did a great job on the rear, somewhat improved the sides then didn't bother with anything in front of the b pillar
Keep positive my friend... we might still have new engines and/or a new race spec, maybe twin turbo too, the devs won't spoil everything in the teasers
Considering the pessima remaster pretty much just added some bumpers, an engine model and made the interior too shiny... we'll see
One thing I'd really like to see on the bolide remaster is an actually correct chassis. The current one can only be described as a 2 poly box that makes no sense engineering wise and isn't accurate at all to IRL 80s supercar chassis. It looks like the front arms are completely new and I think I can see a subframe which is great. Love the mechanical stuff that Beam has been developing recently, especially the Pigeon and Vivace, so I can't wait to see what the bolide has under its skin
Tbh that's like the one part of the remaster I'm still excited for, the rest just looks like we waited three years for minor proportion adjustments
A new rear and front subframe, tasteful exterior touch up (the texture update alone is impressive in it's detail), more parts in general, and derby parts that finally give the LeGran/Wendover Derby configs some competition, which is honestly what the car was missing, it feels more useful now. I don't disagree though, it feels like both the H-Series and Pessima are two halves of the same three-quarters-baked remaster coin. That's not to say either of them is bad, it just feels like it would have been better to focus on one at a time, rather than have two remasters that feel like unrealized potential. I already saw the current Bolide as a very pretty car, so I'm personally okay with the mostly unchanged front end, that part I can't really argue with anyone on because it's personal taste. Although I do see some sneaky air vents on the B-pillars, the devs can't just straight-up copy the Ferrari 308.
Maybe you guys just have really high expectations that aren't feasible and would require a ton of work to redesign an already good looking car for minimal gain. Just saying.
To be fair, it's kind of grown on me since I first saw it. I don't think you can get the full effect of the new proportions and other changes with it in the air, with the suspension extended and from that angle. It's still a bolide, it's always going to look like an entry-level parts bin special
