I think Synsol's teaser more or less confirmed that, as we know we're getting a widebody turbo config of some description.

 

The definition of the word update includes a definition for the present participle. (Present participle: updating) In this case, present refers to the current timeline, as in today. The word Present is also a homonym, as in a word with a plethora of meanings, depending on the use case. The word Present, for example, can also mean a gift; a Christmas present, perhaps- the developers promised us a Christmas present this year, in the form of an update, and since present means not only a gift but also a reference to the current point in time, we can glean that they were attempting to tell us that the Present, the update, would drop in the present, today.

Need more proof?
The sentence December 20, of 2021 has the same number of letters as Beamng Updates Today- and how many letters is that? twenty. as in, the twentieth of December, todays date.

I'm honestly skeptical about another hotfix myself. There's less than a week left before the holidays, and I'm sure the content update is going to have issues that need to be fixed of its own. I honestly see the content update being merged with the hotfix and coming in the early half of this week, and a hotfix for the content update coming later in the week.

that would be a waste of time and you could just fix the problems in 0.24.1 and add new content

 

Strawman, I didn't say it was necessarily coming today, just that there is an unusual amount of dev activity lately hinting at an update in the very near future

 

when do updates come out by time around 18:00??

 

I will say, if it's not out by today, we will probably get some kind of bombshell teaser tomorrow. Tdev is not online so maybe he's taking a much-deserved day off?

I do not believe they will release it any later than Wednesday as that would be cutting it too close to the holiday.
