What does the sbr4 need though? It's pretty much up to quality standards, it has a wide variety of parts and configs... not much else can be done for it without it just being weird. The moonhawk on the other hand, is most certainly up for a refresh... it's ancient, the textures are ancient, and it's lacking in content for a 70s boat.
The SBR could use some general cleaning up and a rally config (refer to Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 rally car for anyone saying it is unrealistic). It certainly is extremely low priority compared to cars like the Moonhawk though. That and the T-Series are probably in the worst shape atm.
Moonhawk is definitely #1 on the "needs to be remastered" list. I think the Sunburst is in 2nd place given how desperately it needs the interior remodelled, given the dash is trash & the rear doors aren't even textured. Grand Marshal & Covet could use some sprucing up. I haven't played the game in about a year so idk if the old Pessima, 200BX, Barstow & 3 ETK's need any work. The T-Series, Hopper & Miramar probably need a remaster by this point too.
I can count all ones that needs remaster: Bruckell Moonhawk, Hirochi SBR4, Sunburst, Ibishu Covet, '88-'91 Pessima, Ibishu Hopper, Gavril T Series, Wentward DT40L, Burnside Special, Autobello Piccolina. ETKs don't need remaster I think --- Post updated --- That's my opinion, it can not be the same
ETK's do need remaster, mainly interior reworks, K series needs it badly. Now maybe not but for 0.26 they should start considering it.
imho it doesn’t need a remaster per se, it just needs some more parts and engines (like a V8), kind of like the covet update, but a little more in-depth.
Not really. It could get as much of racing configurations as bolide. I always thought that SBR4 resembles something between Nissan GT-R and Audi R8. If we look at gt3 or gt 4 specs, then SBR4 could even have V10 like Audi R8 LMS or V6 like NISMO (or some V8). There could be new tubular chassis with carbon parts as well. One lug wheels, safety nets, fanatec looking like steering wheel, etc... Right now it's just missed opportunity as it has only Hillclimb configs. But I definitely agree that MoonHawk needs the update most.
The K-Series doesn't really need a remaster but it should at least be revised, it oversteers like crazy Same for the SBR4, it doesn't need a full remaster but a new engine would be nice, like a GT3 version with a flat 6 and a sort of homologation special with the same engine
imo the covet really needs a remaster; its one of the original cars thats hardly seen any revision at its core (of course, it's gotten a couple variants added in recent years and i think ages ago they adjusted its proportions) and feels like it lacks a lot of detail the newer cars have. comparing the recent gtz to the legran: not the highest graphics but the textures are on high. the non exterior details of the covet just have way less going on than newer stuff. sure it's an economy car but past stuff u could attribute to design, theres still some obvious things like the seat texture is pretty low res and the carpet doesnt really give off the impression of carpet (although legran has a kinda chunky texture; it isnt the best example). the difference in detailing under the engine bay of each is pretty profound too
The covet and it's big brother, the old pessima, are in need of a remaster aswell. Though I expect those two to come much later than the moonhawk and t-series.
