I think it's more down to the fact that the devs have added a plethora of new features that make the older cars feel antiquated, before cars got loads of new features that made them look nicer all the cars felt consistent in quality while now they no longer do. --- Post updated --- My top 10 would be 1. Bus 2. T-Series 3. Moonhawk 4. Burnside Special 5. Barstow 6. ETK i-Series 7. ETK K-Series 8. Sunburst 9. ETK 800 Series 10. 200BX
My non-requested top 5, because listing 10 it's unnecesary for the time it'd take between each update: 1. Bruckell Moonhawk 2. T-Series 3. Ibishu Miramar 4. Ibishu Covet 5. ETK-K Series (but it's true that the whole ETK Series need a relook) Also, the Ibishu Pessima looks basically the same as before and lacks an AWD.
For now, I think 1 thing at a time is plenty for remasters... when the devs take their time is when we get properly tested content. I expect to see the moonhawk done first, as it's 1: possibly the most requested for a remaster and 2: is in dire need of content and texture/model remasters. What I also expect to see is PBR for the rest of the maps. This appears to be quite time consuming, seeing how many textures there are. ECUSA is the last major map on the list, and we'll probably see that in some hotfix or the next update. Edit: Mostly likely PBR for Italy aswell, thank you @The Shotty for pointing that out Now for some less speculative stuff, since I've been speaking off community requested things: I wonder if they will add more thermals... not just tire temps, but diff/transmission fluid temps aswell. It seems they're quite capable of it, seeing how indepth the current engine thermal simulation is. And it doesn't seem like too deep of a rabbithole for the devs to fall into, unlike a firetruck or some other oddball thing. I think the list of mechanical parts would be something like transmissons, diffs, and transfercases(?). Actually that seems like alot, but I dunno.
I'll just admit I'm a bit bummed out that they didn't add wagon versions for both pessimas (yet) although I really hope they do eventually.
I hope they will add wagon in Moonhawk remaster. I remember one very old mod by AR162B. There's very many configs. Sedans, wagons and even ute. Sadly we can't install this anymore.... --- Post updated --- Pic of mod Edit: it even not available on some very shitty ru sites that Putin made
honestly just bringing those configs up to date and making them official would be a good enough remaster for me
Alright I want to speculate too. I think PBR ground textures will be added along the way to the next major update and 0.25 will bring PBR to static objects and foliage as well as motion blur and SSR. Vulcan will be more stable so future works on VR support will be possible, fps increase will mean more cars loaded at the same time = races, so racing AI or race modes possibly added in .25 or .26 I bet tire wear will be added in .25 Also, in UI editor when you select which game mode you are setting the ui apps for, there's quite a few modes that are not available yet so MAYBE procedural rally stages similar to what Dirt 4 had. That would make BeamNG the best rally sim and more genres to beat each time a main feature gets added like racing AI, Drift tandems etc.
Or the KissMP team. But I don't think they'd want/need help, theyt could surely find a solution other than lua and whatever beammp uses.
I'm pretty sure they'd do it from scratch, both solutions are great but not perfect, they might find an even better one.
I believe the number of cars available now is CPU-bound (specifically, by the number of threads/cores available), so improving graphics pipeline wouldn't change much. Otherwise yeah, could imagine a more robust post-processing system once migration to PBR is completed.
there used to be an ui chat app back in the days, it got taken down because it wasn't very usefull and very costly to maintain. I remember talking with nadeox and tdev on utah when it just got released in its very first version
