I know I'm late to the party but since I've seen this thread just now, I have to reply to it. I have no idea how they differ & why does that happen, but to stop the screen tearing with v-sync disabled, you need to set the game to either borderless or window(ed) mode. This way, you can achieve as many fps as your PC can push without being limited to your monitors' refresh rate & without having additional input lag. This also works great for people that need to minimize the game often or whom use more than one monitor, as then you can Alt + Tab out of the game without actually having the OS minimize the game window
actually, a thing i've noticed recently is that i get more fps on ultra rather than high, so thats odd
And how much difference will it be to run a 1060 6gb with a ryzen 3 2200g vs a ryzen 7 3700x? I'm getting crappy fps in italy, on the main city, around 45. But neither my gpu or cpu is maxing out. 16gb ram tho
Another update: can't find an rtx 2060 for a good price in my region, so I'm settling for a gtx 1070/1080. are these good with beamng too?
alright, I guess it's a good choice for its money, plus it fits my budget and also has 8gb vram, so the normal 1070 is the way to go ig (literally no 1070tis available in my region sadly)
plans cancelled, installed now beam on ultra is literally so smooth and satisfying now Minecraft also runs quite well, even with shaders I'll test it out more later since I have to clean my desk due to it being quite dusty edit: and by smooth and satisfying in beamng, i mean this
You should be ok on the rest of the maps, if you have about 120 ish mods things start to go mental on jungle rock island like experiencing extreme lag and glitches ect.
that is nice. if you ever find a gtx 1080 ti, it is better than the rtx 2060 in a lot of ways (besides ray tracing)
