Very odd considering its a decent CPU cooler on stock clocked CPU. I have no idea. Have you checked your motherboard temps to see how hot they are? So you can get an indication of how hot the ambient temp is inside your case?

Nothing else gets remarkably hot, but I'll try and do some more test today when I get the chance.

    - - - Updated - - -

So here is a quick test I did.

These were the temps at idle.

    idle_temps.png

These were the temps after ~15 minutes of Watch Dogs gameplay while recording with fraps

    playing game.png

As you can see things got pretty hot only after 15 minutes of gameplay. It's usually after around an hour or two that the compute shuts off from overheating. The max I saw while playing was 64°C

And here are the temps 15 minutes after going back to idle.

    idle.png

As you can see, the hot air isn't being exhausted out of the case so even when idle everything is running pretty warm.

And here is an image from a notification in CAM a while back saying my cpu has reached 85.5°C

After checking up on multiple websites AMD recommends that the max safe temp should be 62°C. I'm hitting way over that super easily.

AMDs temp idea is like intels. Intel says 72c while 85c starts getting hot in real usage. Likewise amd says 62c but 75c is more into the danger zone.

    Holy christ.
I believe that was the most chaotic dismissal I have ever been a part of.
In the period of about 10 minutes, we got a fuckton of rain. Not just rain. A fuckton of lighting.
It's bad when you also have to get get on a bus. God it was a fucking monsoon.
The busses are parked on a road that goes down to the road behind the school. It's a ways to walk.
And constant really close lighting. The thunder that crackles then its just like an explosion. Jesus

I typed that up like an hour ago but forgot to submit it.
    I got so fucking soaked.
Just got out of the shower feel so much better lel

Wow, yeah, looks like you will need more case fans then. Your case isn't really helping things either to be completely honest. I guess it depends on your budget, but static pressure optimized fans are probably the way to go. While noctua fans are undoubtedly great you may want to have a look at other brands as well if you want any form of value for money. Noctua fans wont make a huge difference in terms of temperature over other cheaper manufacturers and may only be a bit quieter. From personal experience fractal design/enermax/cooler master/akasa fans are all perfectly good. But of course not everyone is looking for good and if you are one of the people looking for some of the best fans on the market (price excluded) then Noctua is a good way to go.
It all depends on how much you want to spend really.

yeah, I really want noctua fans because they're top notch, but the price is steep. I'll probably go for something cheaper. Would you suggest 3x120mm or 2x140mm for exhaust?

I was outside during the worst of it, walking to my bus. :|
There was lighting hitting in every which direction.
I wasn't scared by it, I just didn't want to get all fucking soaked.
Hah that was a fruitless effort. There was an inch of rushing water everywhere you looked. :|
I still haven't gone to see what kinda shape my shoes are in.
