Tbh, yes, the Sunburst needs a good remastering but what it truly needs are the Flat-4 engines to set it apart from the other FWD/FWD-based AWD cars in BeamNG, which all use Inline-4 engines. Hirochi in general must make Flat engines its brand symbol because there already is a Japanese brand (Ibishu) with Inline-4 engines across its entire lineup.

I agree, since even the hirochi SBR4 uses a flat engine, and well, so does the hirochi ccf2

Even ferrettank has said that if he was with the company when they released the Sunburst, he'd have pushed to give it a flat engine. Since he's leading vehicle development now, I wonder if he can make it so for the Sunburst's eventual remaster.

Valid point but the ccf2 is a mod.

the point still stands, even the modders know that Hirochi is a Flat engine company. none of that V nonsense!

I hope that future/post-remaster Hirochi content really leans into "quirky engineering firm", some less traditional engines to give the company it's own flavor would be great

I'm not exactly sure if I remember the comment about that correctly, but I think Diamondback said the reason for the Sunburst not having a Flat-4 engine is that it would be too close to a Subaru, which could potentially result in a lawsuit as the two marques would be too similiar

Well that's ridiculous, obviously it would be Ferrari to issue the cease and desist for that one

And then there's the bastion with obviously charger-inspired configs, the bolide which looks like a ferrari, i think the sunburst got a different enough design so that it wouldn't be too much cpoyright-infringing.

We have literally no reason to even think about that.

i wonder if the Covet might get a remaster soon, honestly. it's another one of the original original cars that haven't gotten much attention. it's definitely deserves a five door variant, along with a facelift.

And it need to get more detailed interior, the original looks like it's from a Indian market car (no hate). Also Grand Marshal needs remaster (at least better detailed interior)

    Let's wish for the best!

That doesn't make any sense because BeamNG cars have a myriad of details resembling real-life cars! The Solid Tornado wheels of the Wendover, the engine cover design with the 5 red marks of the Cherrier Inline-5, the gauge clusters of the Bastion and the modern ETKs, the ttSport 5-spoke wheels of the modern ETKs and so on! A Flat-4 engine wouldn't really be reason enough for a copyright infringement. Plus the Sunburst has a different enough design.

Its interior is lacking and it's also missing some more body styles. A 5-door kinda-Shuttle, a Sedan and (of course) a small 3-door Liftback Coupe!
