    Re: Slayer's D15 Derby

well right now I have a private hyperFPS box ring with pre spawned barrel, cone, barrier, and d-15 so I can spawn in cars and quickly derby that could be released quickly after this mod than later on when things get more awesome with the h15 things will really be cruizin'

On top of awesome my friend who tested this has 0 texture issues. ^.^

well in 15 minutes I have to go for a couple hours since last night my glasses broke during a derby in the makin' lol... well yeah I went to take them off and a weld snapped, pretty lame.-_-

    - - - Updated - - -

well if I use the current heavy rear bumper (like 3x heavier than normal bumper)

and jbeam that anvil to the back of the frame it's self so it's solid would that work?

[frame is 10.5 node weight] [my bumper is nearly 4] [default bumper is like 1.3 or something]

than I just need to make the engine bay+firewall reinforced and ta-da it's nearly done!

bye everyone, Thanks for the help see you in like 4 hours! *waves at monitor?*

Can't wait to use this with Sam's DerbyHawk! I'd love to see more of these with more vehicles. I saw a Derby Covet on a russian site like this once...

you could give it some banger racing car engine sounds so it sounds like a banger that might be a good idea ?

    Suggestion Related

I have been tied as to how to react to this suggestion because I don't really want dents in it before hand because meshes that stray away from jbeams by default tend to stretch and glitch out so that could be a problem and jbeaming a dent... would require more nodes, for a dent!

    and I also kind of like it before it's dended.}

However I might make one of the mirrors smashed and give it metal mirrors made of chrome with one that is fucked and hanging with a borken glass texture on the inside on like the passenger side.

    Author's thoughts

I would take out the passenger seat but the d-15 doesn't have one lol.
[I keep thinking I need to than remember it has bench seats so no I am not reading something that isn't there I just wanted to say that]

I won't be adding a roll cage as the roll bar is all that is needed in actual derbys but I will add length wise bars in the engine bay that will strengthen it.

To be realistic I'd remove the lights but it would make it impractical for other uses

I'd also make the headlights dim but who is to say the car didn't get a new battery?

    Thanks
glad to see some more feedback I am currently working hard on mirrors that actually look correct rather than plastic mirrors on an ol' banger.:p

That sounds great :3 This is only an idea, so dont take it too seriously, but if this is being made for the purpose of a demolition derby, then there would need to be a fuel cell in the cab (in the passenger area) to replace the fuel tank. Again, just an idea :p P.s. I love the fact that you are taking peoples ideas into suggestion and incorporating them into your design, just thought you should know that

    Thoughts?
I was thinking of making the frame less stable in the center so it shakes after exceeding 100km/h [62mph][/QUOTE]

I think that'd be really cool but keep it as an option.

I'll do some research and make that work

    - - - Updated - - -

Mirrors, I know their not perfect but I think they'll work for the meantime, I might change em sometime after release if requested enough but idk if they need it

    Re: Slayer's D15 Derby

I was kinda thinking of it yea.

also the tailgate is now welded to the whole body so it takes a much harder hit in the back of the truck now.

    - - - Updated - - -

New rear Bumper mesh since the other one wasn't deforming AT ALL!
[the mesh wouldn't deform but the jbeam would]

    EVEN BETTER BUMPER

    - - - Updated - - -

The only down side to what I've done to the tailgate is 90% of the time the car doesn't emit a crash sound because actual beams are not breaking due to the weld however you would hear other cars breaking with a rear end like that upon a multi car collision

    Re: Slayer's D15 Derby

I made the welds of the tail gate breakable to it can detach and break however it takes a decent slam to the back end by an opponent to accomplish.
