I love this mod and all of the progress it's made! Definitely one of the coolest mods in the game.

I think the off road suspension still feels too bouncy. Tunable springs and dampers would be welcomed. Air suspension would be really fitting but I imagine that's a lot of work. I've seen it done on the bag trailer mod.

How is it caused by the RX7 mod? Are there similar parts?

    • Added plain roof without panoramic glass (Standard on lesser trims configs)
    • Added rollcage and race seat support (Both standard on the Off-Road config)
    • Added a new engine (D300 3.0L I6D)
    • Added a new sport 8 Speed Automatic transmission for the V8
    • Added a new skin with 110 decals for the hood and C-pillar (standard on the P400 Off-Road config)
    • Added optional paintable headlight frames (Standard option for all trims is the always-black one)
    • Added black Defender badging (standard on the Custom config)
    • Added a custom bootscreen to the infotaiment system based on the real one
    • Drastically improved headlights appearance, being much closer to the real-life units both off and on
    • The fuel tank is now 90L big
    • Fixed the middle seatbelt in the rear seats, which is now part of the seats themselves, so when they are removed the seatbelt don't stay there floating by itself
    • Fixed certain interior decals being lit when they shouldn't
    • Fixed panoramic roof not having glossiness to it
    • Fixed the V8 trim being way too shiny
    • Fixed I6 Diesel engines, which now have a rev limit at 4500 RPM instead of 5500
    • Fixed texturing errors all over the car

Long reply upcoming regarding suggestions of suspension and others

I will look at the CJD mod when I have time available, that seems like something I would try to make. But of course, I could not simply take the files and make it as mine, so many modifying and adapting may be needed.

I can’t make an air suspension; Turbo49> is right. I tried to make air suspension from the codes of ETK1300 just after this mod was released, but due to unknown reasons the suspension became extremely unrealistic, and I could not find any way to fix it. I’m sincerely sorry if this disappointed anyone (including myself) but I believe it is possible if someone with god-level skills is able to make it.

I’ve also tried tunable suspension before, but it simply breaks. I don’t know if it is my problem or the mod’s but it is just challenging to modify the suspension to be realistic; this is the best state I can possibly get with this mod, so I’m sorry if you don’t like it or have problems with the bouncy suspension. One thing I will try to do though is simply make an option where you can tune the ride height and spring rate, but I can’t guarantee anything for now.

I deactivated my mods 1 by 1 and the rx-7 was third to last and the other was 2 mods were maps, and I cleared the cache on every 5 mods deactivated ande with the testing with 4 of 5 mods it still did that but from what I gathered its caused by the rx-7

I made a tunable version of the off-road suspension, maybe you can tweak it based on that. Also I tried air suspension based on ETK 1300 and the bus too, but tried to make the values the same as in real life if I could find them, idk how well yours was but mine is not too bad, just doesn't work too well with powerful engines for some reason. Maybe you can also improve this and include in the mod, but idk how good it turned out for your standards.

Make sure you have the latest version, and also make sure that you don't have any previous updates lingering around. Also try going to appdata/local/beamng.drive/0.24/vehicles and delete the land rover defender folder (if there is one), assuming you didn't make any custom configs

Seems like it was some other mod that caused the issues, de-activated all and it works now.

OMG thank you so much! I know there is someone much better than me at this! There is not too much to change but I'm totally impressed :)
    --- Post updated ---
When I tried to make the air suspension work, the suspension does a weird thing with it's angle when spawned, and couldn't drive properly. I managed to get the rear tunable suspension right, but the front does a deep squat deeper than Carolina's
