That's weird because none of this ever happened to me... Maybe I wasn't driving hard enough to test it. I didn't test it in offroad conditions either, but I think it's all up to finetuning. The tunable suspension should work exactly like the offroad one, except tunable, so this definitely shouldn't happen. And the air one didn't have any issues on spawn for me, but only when driving in reverse it would do weird stuff.

I did all my learning from trial and error, and after looing at what you did instead of what I did, I can clearly see the difference. The air suspension for front are rear doesn't have the same height at all times, is there a way to make them the same?

Neverminded "beamPrecompression" simply does it. I remember that's the first the I learned

Precompression doesn't always help in air suspension, the way it's done in the ETK 1300 is by physically changing the geometry to lower one side or the other. But it should be good enough for this mod.

I'm delighted to announce that air suspension and adjustable off-road suspension (credits to @Agent_Y) is finished being adapted for this mod. Configurations with three different modes of air suspension should come later if @JorgePinto is ready :)

And just as @dumpling said, the update is out, and it's quite indeed special, many thanks to him and @Agent_Y of course for their help, which takes the mod to another level :)
    • Wheels:
      • Resized all rims to their real measures, so the steelies are now actual 20" and the rest are 22" (you can tell the difference in the pics below)
      • Tires are now 32" as standard, with a new tire added to fit the 20" steelie
      • Front wheels have been pushed a little backwards, and the front tubs remodelled a bit to minimize clipping as much as possible (note that it still happens, but without major remodelations and/or making the wheels unrealistically smaller again, it's not possible)
      • Fixed tire cap normals being inverted on the steelies
      • Fixed weird pattern on the white steelies surface, as well as a black spot on the edge
    D200I4.png default.png
    • Air suspension is in!
      • Standard on P400 trims and higher
      • Control keys (even though the UI tells you) are:
        • Shift + G: Access Height
        • screenshot_2022-01-15_22-44-59.png
        • G: Normal Height
        • screenshot_2022-01-15_22-45-05.png
        • O: Off-Road Height
        • screenshot_2022-01-15_22-45-13.png
    • Other additions/fixes:
      • Added fully black bumpers (no config for them yet, but you can select them in the parts editor anytime)
      • Added a slot in the parts editor for the rear steps below the tailights, with 3 choices (silver, black, and V8 grey) with the V8 grey being standard obviously on the V8
      • All exterior mirrors are now black at all times as default, but you can now choose the paintable version at any time in the parts editor
      • Fixed missing headlights parts when they are broken
      • Fixed glass not being seen from the inside
      • Improved look of the broken glass overall
      • Fixed rear badges being attached to the hood instead of the tailgate

Best mode in the game! 10/10, ty for this mod.
    --- Post updated ---
for the sake of interest, you can add new interior colors. for example, orange-black. (unless, of course, it's difficult). and in any case, the mod is already really one of the best.

    dumpling, Agent_Y,

THANK-YOU!!! :D:D:D and please don't think any of my previous comments were intended as anything other than constructive feedback. Absolutely loving your work...

...and in that spirit, I'm sorry to have to tell you but the steel wheels are actually 18" in diameter IRL (again with a 32" tyre).

As an aside (and I really don't expect you to simulate this in BeamNG) but the 18"s are only available on the 4-cylinder engines and the D200 6-cylinder, as the larger brakes of the more powerful models require 19"s...although a company called Lucky8 in the US have successfully fitted Discovery (5) brake calipers to enable the fitment of 18"s on the more powerful models.

This is one of those mods that appear now and then that rivals default cars and makes you actually want to drive it more than once. Great work! You know about the dashboard not working, but something else I noticed was that the sunroof glass doesn't have any reflections, so it looks like there is no glass and just a hole in the roof. Also the front and front-side windows looks weirdly white. Other windows are fine. Also I can see outside through the edges of the door frame. (apologies if these are already mentioned, I didn't want to browse through 20 pages)

some body kits would be nice like that one ^ and
    https://www.royalbodykits.com/products/urban-automotive-full-body-kit-land-rover-defender-90-110

and a mild or a plug in hybrid system like the real ones
can you add all terrain tires to all wheels and add off-road tires and smaller tires for the steelies

    MY EYES!!! o_O

I'd much, much, much rather have off-road bumpers and rock sliders if more parts are going to be made!

All terrain and mud terrain tyres would be brilliant but on the real vehicle, the stock diameter is the same even with the smaller 18" wheel (more tyre sidewall is preferable for off-roading).

A few very small problems. 1: The rear caliper in the v8 version is not blue, but gray. 2: a little bit of the doors that come out of the roof are visible (if you paint the car in one color, then everything is OK). 3: in the last update, visibility through the windshield dropped.
