More to the point, it sounds like a V8 made out of coffee grinders! Not what an upscale vehicle like a Land Rover should ever sound like.
you make me so happy, tysm for making this config. are you going to add some aesthetic parts for the drag config? like a wheelie bar, some fender exhaust, or a stupidly big blower.
Mine changed. Not for the better in my opinion. --- Post updated --- By the way, drive modes. I get what comfort mode does, off road seems kind of obvious as well but what does "Dynamic" do? What do these effect? Drive modes are something I have never really seen any descriptions of, even from the official game vehicles. Is there some documentation on these?
Ok, the V8 sound will be reverted back to the previous sound, among other things. I don't think there will be any updates today, but good progress is being made anyway, including this
Me to --- Post updated --- Plz update the v8 sound like a real Land Rover and make 007 trim and reverse cam
Quick thing I noticed, the suspension on the off road extreme is way too stiff. I found it works well if the spring rate is lowered down to 52000
Reverse camera use this mod https://www.beamng.com/resources/advanced-driver-assistance-systems.17384/
Long reply to whom this may concern, There are already 3 superchargers for you to choose from for the v8, and you can get around 1700 hp with race ecu; I won’t add any turbochargers as they are available in lower engines. I don’t know how to add backfires, but I might try to figure out how to adapt tuned exhaust or backfires that don't involve me modeling. I’m sorry but I don’t know if i can do anything involving mesh and models, a wheelie bar might be possible but fender exhaust is sure impossible for me since I can’t model anything. I’m also not sure about a big blower since I want this drag config to be sleeper-like. I’ve only modded for less than 5 months and only touched internal things that you can’t see but only feel, like suspensions, so my knowledge is extremely limited on things that you can actually see. Hopefully this explained everything Short answer, drive modes determine and change the behavior of cars in specific conditions. For example, in “comfort” mode, the car’s suspension is set soft for smoother ride quality if you have adaptive dampers; it applies with this mod. In “Dynamic” mode, the car in real life automatically adjusts its systems as it detects what road condition you are in, it changes the suspension settings, traction control, and many others. In this mod, “Dynamic” mode simply means “Sport” since the game as far as I know of can’t automatically change the car’s setting or detect the road condition, so the suspension is stiffened and other systems are modified so the car feels more sporty. I hope this answers your question, but for more detailed and expert explanations you can simply search it online and the results will surely be better than mine. Thank you noticing that, I will fix this issue as soon as possible
Thank you @dumpling for your explanations, really useful The update will come tomorrow, it's yet again loaded with many things, mostly fixes, but since I don't want to list them all until it's finished and a proper changelog is written, here are some highlights: -Official Deployable Roof Ladder is finally in (doesn't actually deploy, sorry) -Expedition Roof Rack can now carry all official BeamNG props designed for the roof rails -The intake has been raised to offer a realistic wading depth (old 'killing depth' vs new in the pic) Please remember the update is due to be released tomorrow, don't search for these features yet in the download file
Really excited for it Anyways could anyone give me some ideas on how to make the drag config faster without adding visual changes or more powerful turbos? I have adopted a better radiator but I can't figure out what more to add. Edit: Nevermind I figured it out. The drag config now goes around 8 mph faster than the pictures I sent and has only a few new parts installed. I'm currently trying to adapt a tuned exhaust with upgrades
Some pictures of the new drag config and it's capabilities. Unofficial speed was 174 MPH, with an official speed of 169 MPH. And yes, the position in the third picture is possible to get by simply boosting the car to the red line in N-gear and shift up.
add turbos for the v8 becuse the supercharge is bad sound and add like 3 turbo 1 not powerful 2 powerful 3 super powerful --- Post updated --- i know that but the new charger mod have reverse cam --- Post updated --- add making all the electronics turn off screen and center gauge screen when you turn the vehicle off
the problem for the backfires, maybe you can implement a mod called: "Backfires", here's a link: https://www.beamng.com/resources/backfire-mod.6475/ its outdated but it still works for me.
do you mean its in the files? if so i can search into it --- Post updated --- i added backfire but, no sound, i dont know why, maybe you do?
And the update is live!! Added official Land Rover Deployable Roof Ladder Added all optional BeamNG loads to the Expedition Roof Rack Added optional BeamNG off-road bumper (standard for the Off-Road config) Added 'Drag' configuration Added 'Ultra High Performance' radiator Added option of choosing AWD transfer case instead of 4WD Added all official Land Rover accesories to the P400 Off-Road config Fixes and others: Made tinted windows less opaque both from inside and out Made black plastics and the black interior more black Fixed Off-Road 22" tire mesh Raised the intake for realistic wading depth (up to 90 cm/35.4 in) Fixed Hard-Top config having a middle seat and the center console at the same time (removed the console) Fixed Hard-Top interior floor being incomplete looking Replaced 8-speed Automatic gearbox with 8-speed DCT Added traction control to all configs Changed V8 exhaust sound Modified sport suspension yet again for better handling Black handles and Expedition Roof Rack are now made of dark plastic instead of glossy black plastic The Side Carrier is now silver as default, with black and paintable options available Fixed a mapping issue in the C-Pillar, with updated UV template Fixed hazard button and side indicators being too bright and too little color Made sturdier beams for the Side Carrier attach points to avoid floppiness in the mesh Added active differential to all factory configurations (Thanks to @Xupaun) 'Custom' config is upgraded with black parts 'Custom' configuration changes with new parts above
can i try to add backfire? i dont wanna edit something without permission (the backfire in the video was just a mod)
