Some cars in the game you can't? I'd swear that every manual car in BeamNG does start in Neutral without pressing the clutch (or rather, the 'Left Shift' button). And that's in 'Realistic' gearbox behavior.

Maybe you have clutch assist on, or other similar settings (some of them are kinda hidden deep)

Nope, clutch assistant wouldn't make sense in Realistic gearbox behavior mode, I have it disabled. In fact, I have all Driving Assistants disabled. Clutch assistant, Throttle assistant and Gearbox safety assistant, they're all off! The default gearbox behavior is in "Arcade" but it's just a button ("Q") to put it in "Realistic", so I didn't bother! :p

North America had the "push clutch in to start" thing first before anybody else since the same Wagen/Car sold elsewhere never had that until much later. Somebody i know has 2000 Toyota Celica and you need not push in clutch to start. Others such as Toyota HiLux, Toyota HiAce, Toyota Innova, and many others such as Lorries can start without clutch. I cannot stand this whole "push in clutch to start" since it hinders bump starting and, if you have broken down, shifting yourself towards the side or off the road.

In BeamNG, all vehicles with automatic transmission can start in D or R.
And no, implement this is not possible unless the game separates ignition and starter switch first, like in Rigs of Rods.

Bump starting can be done easily in either version. Here in North America, you take your car...
    1. turn the key to on (not start, so you don't need to push the clutch in at all)
    2. engage first or reverse (which you'd need clutch for anyway)
    3. push the clutch in with right foot, leaning left out door to help propel you forward or backward
    4. let clutch out rapidly when you have enough momentum
    5. push clutch in with left foot, brake with right
    6. proceed to drive normally
I hope this clears things up! :)

Almost right. But by experience (I have a old beetle that used to have a generator instead of the more common high capacity alternator) I'd suggest using second or third, since the drive ratio considering that the power will flow from the wheels to the engine will be shorter.

That's fair, different vehicles have different optimal gears to do it in. For mine first and reverse both work well, almost too well, so that's what I use :D

First and reverse are good if the vehicle is heavy. On ligher vehicles, and/or if you are near a hill, taller gears help a lot. I've seen a neighbour of mine go down a long hill trying to do it using first, and failing miserably, since every time he released the clutch, the wheels "locked up". Poor guy...

Imo Wigeon has a lot more problems than the Bastion. Most of the Bastion issues were fixed in 1st hotfix, and most of the remaining ones are related to the styling. I don't want to complain about the Wigeon again but some of you might remember the list of issues I posted for it once (not in this thread). They are probably hard to fix so I assume they either got ignored (understandable) or the fixes will come way in the future when the game is closer to release and they will be improving quality of everything.

Tbh, I see no styling problems with the Bastion. My only complaint is about the taillights which, instead of making a smooth waterfall on both vertical ends, they make some weird creases, like the mouse got sticky in the design process.
Also, the Bastion has no Sunroof (it would complement the Luxe versions very nicely).

The Wigeon has its own bug. For example, it doesn't drive straight even when the suspension is not damaged. Looks like the toe left/right tuning was tuned improperly.

The bastion subframe is still made out of jello and still has this issue:

The rear subframe should not move around this much.
