Good morning, I would like to make a suggestion. I'm not the only one- at least, I don't think I'm the only one- who would love to see a remaster for the Burnside Special. Personally, I find it to be a very fun car to use. The only problem is that there are very few stock variations and compared to other cars, relatively few customization options. I have some ideas for new variations: A rally variant A stock car variant (similar to the Gavril Bluebuck) A police interceptor variant A junkyard variant (Similar to "The Horrible" version of the Gavril Bluebuck) A facelifted version Additional stock variations Different body types (A coupe/hatchback version would fit very well I think, as well as perhaps a van/wagon body) I know there are some mods that add some of these features, but I still think they would be nice to have as part of the base game. For those wondering, these are the models of cars I am picturing in my head that these variations could be modeled after: Ford Vedette (Hatchback) Mercury Club Coupe Ford Ranch Wagon Thank you for taking the time to consider these suggestions.
the burnside really needs an update, but it seems the devs are scared of old cars now and only wanna update the d series 99999999 times and add ugly modern cars unfortunately, the burnside is so old now that EVERY mod works with it still
The Burnside got some jbeam edits in June so it isn't being totally ignored, almost every vehicle in-game now receives new content, jbeam tweaks, or gets overhauled in each update. If there's something you want done differently with a vehicle and don't have the patience to wait for the dev team just download Blender and learn to jbeam.
@OP: There is a dedicated discussion thread for the '53 Special already here Where are you getting a single thing you said from? Yes the Burnside needs a remaster, but so does half the vehicle roster in game. In some ways it's better than the Bluebuck, which came out 3.7 years after it. What do you expect the team to do, hire a small army of magically fully trained game devs so that they can update every vehicle in game and then fire them all after one update cycle? We just got 3 remasters in the most recent update alone... They'll get to it when they get to it, there's a lot of stuff they need to do to get everything up to par. The D-Series got one superbuild and a 3 part remaster. You're number is off by about 99,999,996. The other 1990's Gavrils also got/will get multi-part remasters as well, so the D-Series isn't alone here. Besides, if you don't want modern content then what's wrong with 1980/1990's content? You act like you don't want the old MY years to receive content but don't want new MY cars either.. So what do you want? The only new MY content we've gotten since Summer 2016 is the electric drivetrain for the SBR, the FCV platform, and the Bastion. With a modern supercar apparently at least in the concept stage. That isn't much... Over half the content in game has model years in the 1985-1995 range. While not exactly vintage, it's hard to say there are "scared of old cars" with that figure in mind.
And then people complain that half the vehicle roster is composed of 80s-90s cars. They literally remastered the bolide in the previous update - one of the oldest cars.
We need more 50's cars in beam, and 30 if it's possible. Imagine how great it could be! --- Post updated --- Just one question, am i the only one who hate the sunburst?
guys i think the devs shouldn't remaster it but upgrade it; like making a stepside variant using the stepside bed cuz it's not that good on the d-s
ok maybe remaster but at least make this mod official: https://www.beamng.com/resources/burnside-special-base-face-lift.20587/
One thing i would love would be a version with radiused wheel wells, so we could fit bigger tires in the back, and a 2 door version.
I know this is from a while ago and you are currently suspended but I am pretty sure old sound mods (from before 0.10) even work.
