I need to weld a door on my car and I thought I heard of a way to make the hinge no longer a hinge.

I just need to weld it to the body so it sits there for my derby d15

I suppose you could set the beam strength of the door and bonnet latches to "FLT_MAX", that way they would never break open. If you do the same to the hinges, then the part should be fixated to the rest of the car.

I'll try, I just hope it doesn't make my jbeam unstable.

If you just change the "beamstrength" to "FLT_MAX" it should not affect the stability at all, just means that the beams you applied it too will never break under any force. If you can single out the beams operating as hinges and latches, there should be no problem.

I am having some issue... I have made so beams connecting the hood to the side of the chassis where the fenders would be and I can't get them to stop the hood from bending majorly in a small frontal collision...

what should I set the beam strength, spring, damping ect. here too.

i'm trying to get those ones to hold it down like a weld.

I suppose there are 2 options. You could either create beams reaching from the end nodes of the hood onto the front wing, or simply share nodes between the fender and hood. I think the first may be easier, and could simulate breakage of the welds.
