I’ve already done this, I’m working on the small deformable overlap the most actually. The bumper’s got reduced beamdeform and less beamstrength on the attachments and the front-side undertrays have support beams between them and the bumper now. The full wall impact also induced a weaker frontal-body, a much weaker and more deformable front undertray and stronger wing attachments. All of the testing’s being done at 40mph. I’ll take a look at the explorer.
I googled procyon meaning to see what it means and i got some weird results… In greek it means “before the dog”??? Its also the biggest star constilation And its related/results to a racoon Dont ask lol
The Procyon brand was named after the star, part of the constellation (as you found) Canis Minor, named the way it is because it’s the smaller of the two dogs following Orion alongside Canis Major. It’s also part of the winter triangle with Sirius and Betelgeuse. the winter triangle
Yeah, who named their Raccoon ‘Procyon’ lmao --- Post updated --- Btw, the badge, which I’ve got drawn with the help of @Kueso, is coming to the thread as soon as it goes on the car.
you should do a special version like the trd land cruiser with black plastic pieces and a lifted suspension like this, just a suggestion
So, the next bumper! As I said, there’s gonna be three different types of the Centauri with multiple grades to those types, with the current config(s) being mid-grade, and only sport. Here’s the second of those styling variations, focussing on luxury this time. As it always goes, I started with a design sketch. This one was a little less defined than the sport one as I didn’t have anything to base it on, but here it is; Then I got it modelled… …with small edits to the body to fit the bigger side vents better… …and, last but not least, a top grille. (demonstrated with the sport undertray) Model done, now to get it in-game. It’s already got Roamer/FCV temporary textures on so it should look okay already. …and with various edits and an undertray, it’s done! (luxury on the left, sport on the right, with the wheel arches made gloss too) Another thing I added just afterwards was glass over the front DRL. The next (and final fully new design) bumper should be getting to the thread within the next week, so stay ‘tuned’ for that, but for now thanks for reading and have a great rest of your weekend! Next update on post #405
oh okay im not a huge fan of the land cruiser so i didnt know but i love the procyon centauri though!!
That's quite a lot, as far as I know SUVs typically weigh between 2000 and 2500 kg, this one is definitely on the heavy side. But that's not unrealistic so ok.
The J300 generation Land Cruiser (the car this is based on) is 2900kg, so I’ve still got a lot of room surprisingly.
Wow that's a really heavy SUV, I wonder why they designed it like that, nowadays a lot of weight generally means a lot of problems for the car
