    Driving shit?
It was either hit the two guys fishing or the grass. I picked the grass.
    I regret nothing.

Well, on my wish list was a new PC case, CPU water-cooling, PSU, a harddrive since my current 1 TB one is almost out of space plus something more I forgot.

Didn't have a clue what you were talking about until i realized it was AOL. Yeah, their name now seems odd considering they were in the UK too. Just went to their website, their reports are just wow. You have to hit the bottom of the page before you reach anything news worthy, even then it seems more like fear mongering.

The sad thing being that people are obviously more bothered about a mysterious red blob and the royal family than anything like the earth quake in California etc.
Im not sure i want to live on this planet any more :p

Anyone else heard about the release of Razer Cortex? I've got Game Booster for the screencapture and sort of for the booster bit. Do you think Cortex is a good idea?

    No.
Game booster is useless BTW, it does nothing but add one more background process slowing down your PC.

They boast that it increases frame rate by changing options. So it probably turns the settings down in games.
They say it speeds up your system by defragmenting it, there are already many tools that do this job (windows defrag, defraggler etc). Just please for the love of god do not defrag an SSD. They hate defrags, it will drastically shorten their lifespan. The thing about defrags is that they take hours to do and they slow performance to a crawl, so they must be using a system that monitors your pc and when its idling runs the defrag then. If you turn your PC off when it is not in use then it will either degrade performance or it will not do what they advertise so there would be no point.
The save game manager is just cloud storage for save games, steam already does that. (or any cloud storage provider)
It will compare the prices of certain games on a few major online retailers. I guess thats quite nice but there are many websites that already do a really good job of this.

I haven't done enough research tbh but my advice would be to avoid things like this. If you want to defrag your PC tell windows to do it for you overnight and then don't worry about it for a month or two. If you want cloud save files use something like steam, dropbox or bittorrent sync. If you want an FPS increase then remove the software that is slowing it down. If you cant do that then buy new hardware. Nvidia and AMD both have their own software that will adjust settings for you. But i recommend you do it yourself anyway.

Call me old fashioned but if my PC needed to run faster i would start by removing resource using software, not by adding more.

When I first got it on my old computer I actually used the booster bit (which sort of worked because my computer was so crappy), now I don't use the booster bit at all. I only use it for the screencapture, which is actually pretty good (as long as it doesn't glitch, which happened once).

I recently moved from fraps to msi afterburner. Its really good and does not open on startup (it will if you ask it too though) which means your bootup times should be reduced. That way you could completely remove game booster from your PC since it has a load of redundant features that you don't use which will slow things a bit.

If anybody who lives north of Boston, Massachusetts would like to do me a huge favor and KILL THE DEMONIC, HATE-FILLED, GODZILLA-SIZED HORNET THAT'S CURRENTLY TERRORIZING MY ROOM that would be great. Thank you for your time, have a good day, and PLEASE COME SAVE ME.

Congratulations, you can now take screenshots and upload them directly to Steam, all with one less CPU-clogging background process.

When I say screencapture, I mean video recording. The games I play have built in screenshot things.

100% free, and easy to use as well

(while most people use it to stream, it does have local file only recording functionality)

Thank you, I think I'll get this and remove RGB. Thinking about it, I just realized why I have a program like Razer: I heard about it on the Need for Speed: World forums.
