Keep running into a minor issue with the camera path editor. It does not actually load in the "moving start" and "moving end" attributes and just sets them all to enabled. Just tested by turning all of them off and saving, even removing the campath from my drive folder to see if it was using the right one in the editor. They're all listed as false in the file, but the editor completely disregards them, causing one particular pan coming back to my truck to stop abruptly before the loop restarts. I have to set these manually each time I launch the editor. Small workaround is to add one more "stopper" frame that induces a slight pause before the loop restarts. That seems to shorthand fix the issue, but it's not exactly intuitive.
Small white lines visible underneath grass textures on JRI In the Bastion, the white lettering on this LCD looks strange - it looks printed on rather than being on a screen Cupholders in the Bastion are a bit primitive The Bastion has no floor mats The K-Series and ETK 800 use very similar radios, but only the K-Series' has a screen (for the 800 series, in its place is a black void) The clocks in the I-Series and Miramar are functional but the clocks in both Pessimas aren't The I-Series' shifter has a glow-in-the-dark legend The Pessima has a black void where a screen should be The Widgeon's blank LCDs look really good, maybe the same techniques could be replicated? Finally- and I hate to sound like a broken record about this- The Pessima's engine textures look sort of muddy. You can see it best with the air filter Bastion is on the left, Pessima is on the right
(originaly there) Bugs, suggestions General things: - laggy UI - on all maps, water is flickering (most prominent on Italy map) (after 0.24) - subtle camera shaking (not on free camera) - after i quit the game, it crashes (after 0.24) - dynamic reflections on chromy things on majority of vehicles and wheels are broken (since 0.22) (pics at the end of post) - is it possible to separate dynamic reflections and mirror reflections? (usable mirrors yet better performace) - grass on Hirochi Raceway is too bright - cloud slider on Small Island doesn't work - all cars with exception of american (except H-Series), should have both metric and imperial gauges - all diesel engines need more parts - add illuminated interior things (buttons, switches etc.) - add license plates design selectors for all trailers Travel Trailer: - can't change colors on the two-tone stripe T-Series: - add loads for box upfit - add tanker and garbage truck upfit Barstow: - add interior colors - add vinyl roof (matching the interior colors) Sunburst: - add interiors colors LeGran: - add vinyl roof colors (matching the interior colors) - add front bench seats - add rear jump seats for wagon - add chrome and body colored parts for mirrors and door handles (on the wagon tailgate too) Burnside: - headlights have "flares"(?) when turned on but the model itself doesn't "glow"(?): - lead slead has door handle shadows but no door handles: - add option for bumpers without bumper guards - add secondary and tertiary colored interior Pessima (boxy): - add body colored mirrors and door handles I-series: - has "2000" badges for some reason - add body colored mirrors and door handles 200BX: - add widebody bumpers license plates - add interior colors - add more engines - i would say that the entire car is in dire need of remaster Hopper: - add body colored hardtop roof Miramar: - add bumpers without bumper guards Wendover: - add black trim around windows - add chrome and body colored mirrors and door handles DT40L: - add manual transmission H-Series: - add metal panels for rear door window slots D-Series: - add black, body colored, chrome options for all door handles (tailgate too) - add utility upfit Grand Marshal: - add sunshades - add front bench seats - these all separate from each other and separate from paint designs: >body colored, black and chrome door handles >body colored, black and chrome grille >body colored, black mirrors >body colored, black and chrome trim >body colored, black and chrome window trim - also these bugs (since 0.22): Bolide: - add more interior colors: brown, maroon, bright red (italian sports cars had these) - add license plates for GTR - GTT exhaust is clipping through the base tailcone: - the nosecone situation: > front license plates act weird, look weird, and sometimes can't be taken off > the parts sorting is confusing Moonhawk: - i think this car deserves a remaster too; 70s american cars were extremely "factory customisable" and the Moonhawk is not very representative of it; the grilles look awfully outdated and that rear gloss black plastic panel doesn't look good - "artists"(mine) impression - the "Special" should have license plates (front fascia and filler panel) - add "Special" front fascia with rectangular headlights - add bumper rubber stripes and bumper guards - add option for clock in place of tachometer - add power windows door panels - add front bench seats - add more interior colors (blue, brown, green, white, grey, bright red) - add vinyl roof matching the interior color (canopy, landau, full, halo, baskethandle (who cares which type)) - add more engines For the far, further and furthest future: - multi-stop truck - Hirochi minivan (Hirochi needs more love) - cab-over truck (European/Asian) - V12 roadster/grand tourer (Italian/British) - straight-eight powered something 40s or pre-war (German/French) - city map (West Coast is more of a suburbs map) Also, i know that some things that i listed are already in mods, but they are really missing in the base game. and i'll shup up now...
I would like to add a winter map or the ability to choose the time of year, it will be very interesting
sequential gearbox LUA : line 17, 33 and 34 say avTpRPM. Isn't that suppose to be avToRPM or am I missing something ? It doesn't seem to bother the code though since these are the only 3 instances of the 'constant' in this file and they don't seem to be called by another code file as well
I am a little bit disappointed by 0.24 if i am honest, i dont think it should have been released at the time it was because of 1 thing, quality. It feels like it was rushed, the ui is even more laggy than the old one, fps is the worst ive ever seen in this game and a lot of bugs from previous versions still havent been fixed like how its almost impossible to grab a node of a car while its driving unless you use 100x slow motion. It just feels like it was all chucked together in a hurry to just get the update out. With the fps issues you can notice the lag in the official videos, Compare this video to this one, And before you say “oh it was and older version” would that really matter? Other games get updates and dont have fps issues as bad as this. this is just my opinion though, you don’t have to agree with me this is what I personally think.
Well, for me at least the ui is less laggy than before, and tdev said that inside the code was completely reworked, the old one was only working by miracle. As for FPS issues i don't see a notable difference, and remember that they needed to increase the drawing distance to accomodate the map view. When vulkan gets stabilised there should be a good boost in performance anyways.
Aren't they slow motion moments ? And while there might've been a little performance slowdown it's not close to beign half my previous fps, even though i have an amd gpu which are having stuttering/performance problems with the game.
