So I've decided to do a little bit of mapmaking and try to fix the very broken Swiss Alps map. I couldn't reply to the original thread anymore, so I had to make a new one. fixed map not showing up fixed broken textures on all buildings fixed textures that have been broken on almost all trees massive performance improvements, RAM usage went down from something over 16GB (I have only 16, yes it did crash a lot) down to around 7Gb, looks like loading times are better as well fixed AI on all straight bridges tried to improve the AI on the curved bridge, it sometimes manages to cross it now but it's still a mess the traffic does not drive up the car jump anymore, only down now, and doesn't slow down to prevent airtime at the jump added AI support to the tunnel sealed some holes in the terrain Make sure to clear your cache if you used the repo version with this game version previously. I had to remove the map info files since the repo kept overwriting it with the broken files. @essej818 I have no idea if you are still active since I can't view your profile, I assume not since it never got the outdated tag. I will take this down if you dissaprove it. If not it would be nice if you could replace the repo version with something fixed.

I fully agree that it needs time trials, but adding stuff is something I won't do without explicit permission. I've just loaded the map, there are some broken materials in the towns, but the author is still active so a fix by him is very possible. The size is completely irrelevant, I've edited the materials with a text editor, if the map uses them once or two hundred times is irrelevant, it's always running the same broken or not broken material.
Nah anyone can make time trials, they're just a collection of waypoints. They are not part of the map, so there's no authorization needed. If anything, we should be encouraging people to make their own and share them, it's pretty easy and there's tutorials around.
Hi, good fix. Could you consider fixing the Monaco map (https://www.beamng.com/threads/monaco-monte-carlo.74408/)? Its not showing up in beamng and i heard it has missing textures and also the creator of the map hasnt been online for a while.
I was actually already working on it when you wrote that, it had some nasty issues so it took me quite a while and gave me some headaches but it should be good for upload now
wow i managed to scroll past this a bunch of times without realizing it was a reply to my message sorry about that, a fix is possible but unlikely from what I've read on the discussion thread as he is focusing all his attention on los injurus map and i think if we wait for him to fix it it will at least be years away, but no pressure whatsoever i respect your work and totally get not wanting to step on peoples toes and such keep doing what you do.
Los Injurus and American Roads are not by the same person... I've made that mistake in the past, too, they have a similiar style
