Re: General discussion chat I'm using my laptop with a new keyboard and base/bottom panel. It's backlit and it feels pretty nice compared to the old one. (Which does have years of wear. I used the pointing stick on that one so much that it's worn down.) Also, for some stupid reason, M4400 screen panels and backs are very slightly different in size so the new back I got doesn't fit my screen or bezel so I gave up and just ordered a complete screen unit. I'm using all the old parts to build a working E6500 which I can then sell or whatever.
Re: General discussion chat For future reference, when I seem like I am being extra pissy on here, it's mainly because sophomore year is supposed to be stressful, and I get pissed easily when I am stressed. So, don't think that I all of a sudden hate all of you, it's just the stress talking.
Re: General discussion chat Just had a minor fender bender. I was 3rd vehicle in a line of cars driving in a 60 zone. Another car in the oncoming lane was riding on the centre line, car at the front of my line over-reacted and slammed the brakes to a complete stand still, as did the car behind him/ahead of me, as did I. Front 2 cars came to a stop without hitting each other. Mine just decided to ignore the existence of ABS yet again and 4 wheel skid into the back of the car ahead of me (I could feel the ABS trying to do something on the back of the pedal yet the car locked all 4 wheels without issue as it always does from all speeds). Thankfully at least the road painting my tyres decided to do (yeah, they have left a faint mark on the road) scrubbed off most of the speed so it was ultimately a fairly minor impact that the bumpers entirely absorbed (and this is why bumpers are plastic now rather than metal, they flex and absorb impact, metal ones just transfer the entire impact force back through the rest of the car). Hell, had 3 year old sister in back of the car and she didn't notice anything out of the ordinary besides asking why did we stop and why did i get out and talk to that man. Damage limited to scuffing of the bumpers and a bit of paint transfer (he has a reddish mark on the back of his white car). Both agreed to deal with the damage to our vehicles ourselves rather than trying to attribute any blame to one another or going through insurance or whatever, he plain refused to even take any contact details from me.
Re: General discussion chat Sophomore year (year ten in normal English) was hilarious for me. People complain about workloads but it really is piss easy compared to later years and university/college. If you're stressing out here, honestly, you should be worried. sorry to say bby ily tho

Re: General discussion chat I don't get stressed easily at all, but when I do... I just can't handle it. Luckily this year is super chill. Mondays and Wednesdays I go from 7:45 until 2:35. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays I go from 11:05 to 2:35. So far Senior year is even easier than junior year (which was already almost too easy).
Re: General discussion chat Just make sure that none of the mounts for the bumper have snapped. A car went into the back of my mums car at a junction in a housing estate and although there was no visual damage the inside of the rear bumper had been snapped where it mounted to the rest of the car. Other driver paid for all repairs.
