Railroad crossings on the map of Las Colinilas de Vapor

    Hello,
    Is it possible to remove crosses from railroad crossings on the map called Las Colinilas de Vapor? They annoy me a lot because the car gets caught on these crosses and the train derails.

    I did a bit of testing. At first I thought the RRI boxcar gets stuck between the crossing signs, but you meant AI cars apparently. The traffic flows through the crossing normally, until the proximity of a train makes the AI cars go bonkers. They might stop on the rails, ram the train, or try to do a U-turn and that's when they get stuck on the signs. I see no way to fix the AI.

    Here the green BX stopped to let my train pass but then drove under it. To answer the question the crossings can be widened in the editor or the signs deleted from the crossing model in a 3d software like Blender and then replaced. But it won't help much.

    I think it needs a breakable railroad crossing signal prop, right?

    Then broken sign pieces would get stuck to the train and derail it :)
    The signs are part of the crossing "floor" that is needed anyway for cars to get over the tracks. The floor could be replaced with blocks of mesh road, or any fairly flat stuff.

    My point is that when a train hits a bus, for example, that bus catches on that unfortunate cross and causes the train to fall off the rails. Hope you understand what I mean?

    You can delete the signed crossings but you have to rebuild the intersection. Crashes and derailment will still happen. It's just easier to respawn the train and wrecked vehicles and carry on.

    I think it's actually quite uncommon to get derailed when t-boning a bus or two. They go through the signs like nothing. TEM2 was a bit more unstable than DMM and WLD in my short test.

    Nice find, here's how to steal it:
    Copy the rail1t10mstrtcross_a4.dae from Roane County's art/tracks folder and replace the one in unpacked Vapor map's art/track folder with it.
    Open world editor in Vapor, find the rail1t10mstrtcross_a4.dae in the Asset Browser, rebuild the crossing with two of them, choose collisionType: Visible Mesh Final in the Inspector window. Press Ctrl + F7 the refresh the collisions, save the map. This works on both the original Vapor from the forum link and on the newer repo version with no need to edit the materials.

    Everything went smoothly until I was about to copy the railroad crossing you provided. After right-clicking, there was no "Copy" button. There was a "Copy file to clipboard" button. I clicked on that button ... and then I figured out what the clipboard was about. Could you help me? I care about it, because once it is successful, the next times will be easier and easier.

    Copy-paste should work from a zipped map (Roane). Try to drag the file to desktop and then move it to the Vapor's tracks folder?

    So I pulled the ROANE zip file from Beamngdrive / Documents / mods to the desktop. I still don't have a "Copy" button. It is still "Copy to clipboard". Help me please!

    Moment. Have I put the entire ROANE zip file in a VAPORV3 file?

    You need just the rail1t10mstrtcross_a4.dae file. Maybe unpacking the Roane map would allow you to copy the file. Why can't you paste and replace the file from the clipboard?

    Czy mogliśmy zrobić inaczej? Po prostu wstaw przejazd kolejowy, który ci pokazałem, i wyślij mi plik tutaj? Jestem gotów zaakceptować odmowę.

    Does that mean when you update the map, the railroad crossings I showed you will be on that map?

    No, the signed crossings will stay. Un-signed "Roane" crossing will be in the map's assets so they can be changed in the world editor.
    I won't update the map until something on it breaks and needs fixing.

    Did you manage to download and replace the file?
