You aren't contributing to the conversation in any meaningful way with the unfounded minivan "speculation".
Well, it would offer a long-term challenge to go with the short-term challenges we have now. And big-picture choices, like which cars to buy and sell or how to modify them, give us another dimension of freedom to work with. BeamNG simulates brake thermals and fuel consumption. I strongly doubt that they're going to double down entirely on destruction alone, especially when the bulk of their userbase struggle to have more than 4 or 5 vehicles on their screen at a time.
So it's kinda like a digital life within the game, like what we know in GTA, online or not. I also hadn't thought about the instructions on what cars to buy/sell and how to modify them. This seems like the perfect tool for connoisseurs, middle-grounds and noobs alike to expand their knowledge or learn from scratch how to tune various parts of various different vehicles for any type of driving or how to tune/adapt their driving skills depending on where/what they usually drive. So, through this, our freedom expands through knowledge and matures us as players and drivers. This looks very nice indeed.
the fact that yall are arguing like this is bad enough. the only thing worse right now is me being up at 11 pm reading this dumpster fire.
Wow this tread makes me dumber just reading it. There is nothing to speculate, guys. stfu before this gets locked again. And yes, BeamNG absolutely 100% requires some form of player-oriented objective-based mode with progression. All it is without that is a really cool ultra-realistic physics tech demo. If you want a tech demo, go to E3 or CES. This is a game and it must do game things. The fact this is even up for debate is, quite frankly, hilarious. No, the scenarios don't count. That's like saying whipped cream on top of a cracker is a pie. This community, I swear. I've been here almost 10 years and it just keeps getting worse. I feel awful for the devs. They just CANNOT please you people.
I mean for an entire month devoid of any communication from developers... it's not as bad as it's been...
