Well, sort of. BeamNG runs one car per core, so you'll get much better performance on Intel CPUs because AMD sucks at single core performance.

Make sure you OC that 760k (which i think i suggested :3)

if you get a good chip, around 4.5 should stay nice and cool and run on stock voltage.

I'm not going to overclock it out of the box, but when I get a good CPU fan I will definitely overclock it in the ~4.4 area, MAX POWER!

O RLY? Go check the Banana Benchmark result chart and see what my four-year-old DDR2 fed Phenom does to your i5, or to most 4670Ks for that matter. Then try setting up a similarly powerful intel rig with the same amount of money. Good luck 275123014-zielony.gif .

Intel is more expensive, we all know that, you're not looking at your budget in a high-end build. So, that aside...

AMD can't get even close to Intel CPUs when it comes to real performance. Try actually running BeamNG with an 8350 and a 4670K with the same GPU, spawn 4 moonhawks and tell me which one is better.
The only reason to get AMD is budget, therefore they're ony good for mid-end builds or plain budget PCs.

And since 90% of buyers go for mid range or budget... :p Plus, $200 for a CPU+MoBo+RAM is not even a budget PC price range, it's just putting up parts laying around together to get 50+ MBeams/s performance, something intel would call a mid-end.

just make sure to get a good cooler for that CPU, that one gets HOT !

My PC is now finished and it runs other games great, like high settings and 60 fps.
It runs BeamNG on normal at 60 fps which is a huge improvement also its name is Ozone.
I haven't overclocked yet so it will probably run BeamNG better when I do that (it is CPU bound)

Don't forget chaps that some people buy some items due to money constraints.

If we could all have what we wanted it would be sweet but sometimes we have to do with what we can afford and be happy with it.

Enjoy the new PC OP! No matter what its a upgrade on your old system and have fun with it!

Yeah this runs way better than my old PC as you will see

    Old PC settings:

    FPS: 20-25
    Fullscreen
    Meshes: Low
    Textures: Low
    Lighting: Lowest
    Shaders: Lowest
    PostFX: Off
    Resolution: 720p (1080p Monitor)

    New PC Settings:

    FPS: 60-100
    Fullscreen
    Meshes: Normal
    Textures: Normal
    Lighting: Low
    Shaders: Low
    PostFX: On
    Resolution: 1080p

I can use the D-15 on Dry Rock Island at 60 FPS now, I used to get 12 FPS on that map with the truck.

Also my other games like GTA IV now run at 60 FPS. (Medium-ish settings)
I now feel comfortable with getting GTA V for the PC when it comes out.

Not bad at all man, pretty comparable to what my rig gets on max settings (post fx off) with both games and mine has a much better CPU and GPU. Also if you want you should try turning off post fx, it slows the game down by quite alot and you should be able to up the more important shader and lighting settings :)
