Beamng 10year anniversary celebration ideas!

only 1 more month till beamng hits 10 years! here is a thread about discussing ideas for a celebration
here are some of my ideas
(I only have a couple)
1. Devs release old CryEngine version
2. Devs release first tourqe3d version.

That's probably gonna be it. Or they add something a little simple, like a radio station.

 

they said its not even done enough to show an early wip beta apperently

 

Maybe we will see a glimpse or a basic version of carer mode? Or maybe a new car.

 

maybe some skins/Plates saying Bemang 10 years. Or something.

 

I think we should all do a dev-appreciation post, probably in a separate thread in General Discussion? Just as an idea.

hell, maybe all the vanilla cars could get 10th anniversary configs with more power and other shit!

I think it would be cool if they opened up a limited time merch shop or something with some of their old posters and t-shirts, or maybe some new stuff with special 10th anniversary designs!

 

Well, not to poop on the party, but the Dev's have stated before that the CryEngine version doesn't even exist anymore. It hasn't existed for the better part of a decade, so unless one of them just accidently has it sitting around on an old PC that they aren't even using anymore completely unaware that it is even still there... I would that the possibility of that happening is probably close to 0.

That I do not know. It might be possible that they only have the builds that are listed in the steam version... thing... you know... for compatibility with older systems like pre DX10 and pre DX11 or whatever the last jump was and everything else is just what we have now and newer dev builds... or they might have started keeping backups of all the versions at one point or another... I truly do not know. Only they will know that.

 

A conmemorative configuration and skin for the D series. It's the first vehicle added iirc

 

Definitely! They could have BeamNG paintjobs and/or the original files added. Another cool idea would be to add a config based on what job the vehicle is built for (including props!).

 

5 configs of the original 5 cars in their 0.1 form
(bolide with classic crappy model, buzzy covet, van, grand marshal, and the legendary classic d-series)
or
release of the very first gridmap from the original showcase video from 2012
or
downloadable game version that makes everything like 0.1, so basically a replica of 0.1 but without cryengine (and maybe a fake crysis HUD lol)
