Probably wrong, speculate at your own risk, but perhaps its some new variant or uplift of the H-series that wasn't ready in time (or intended to come later than) the H-series remaster. Something like a minibus or shaggin' wagon or camper body, there's plenty examples back in this thread around when that update was near.

 

I remember when they posted the image of the Van and Pickup as orange and the Roamer as gray, and it was speculated that it meant the Roamer was done but the others still had updates to come, which turned out true. So it's interesting the cars are orange in this new image. Though, the Bastion just came out, and I don't understand why it would have any changes. I've also seen the T-Series orange in another image too. I'm probably very wrong and the orange is probably just because the Beam Logo is orange, but some food for thought.

Maybe there is also a chance for a T-Series remaster since they just did a whole contest with it.

 

Miramar remaster?

 

The Bastion is missing a sunroof (plus it has these creases on the taillights, making them look like the mouse got stuck in the design process), so it makes sense why it's in orange.

I never made the connection between cars being orange in images posted by the devs and those cars having updates coming to them, but it makes a lot of sense. To add to it more, the 2nd teaser of the remastered covet, with the outline of the car, what color was it? Orange. It’s definitely a thing to think about.


EDIT: Not so sure anymore because the humble bundle sale image of the bolide was orange, and the bolide doesn’t need a remaster in the slightest.

 

Maybe it's a reference to the new Civetta supercar that they teased (the orange Bolide)

 

If the Miramar was remastered, it would absolutely need wagon and coupe bodies. Maybe even a Ute.

 

So what is actually very likely to be in the next update?

 

New supercar, Covet remaster, and PBR for the rest of the maps that haven't gotten the PBR treatment yet, like italy and ecusa

Yes, but bear in mind it has been some time from the reveal of concept, so there must be sufficient progress over months

 

The covet remaster was only a sketch too, but they could have made it in time, after all we don't know since when they started working on it.

 

Also the police lightbar overhaul that's been hinted at.

 

And a 2-liter Inline-6 (plus a normal 5-Speed Manual)!

 

The first one was the 3D model of the rear quarter, this means the base was most likely finished before that even otherwise they wouldn't have anything to build upon.

 

There's also the Traffic Lights Update on the flowgraph editor of the WCUSA plus the PBR Update on that map. Almost 10 months have passed since the ECUSA got the Traffic Lights Update and the WCUSA still hasn't received it, so I believe it's the WCUSA's time now.

 

i can see it for the bastion, either via bug fixes or just to add more features and details and such which might have gotten initially overlooked, also im pretty sure some sort of t series expansion or revamp or something was discussed earlier by someone
