I have some ideas about what the I-Series needs when its remastering time comes.
I believe it needs a slight reproportioning of its glasshouse and profile sides (they have to get a bit less slab-sided), a Wagon body, an interior enrichment with more features and, of course, EU-Spec versions and parts (since it's a German car) and more engines:

    • A base 2-liter Inline-4, for using the 2000 badge
    • A 2-liter Inline-6, for using the 2000i badge
    • An 80s Diesel couple of 2-liter Inline-4 and 3-liter Inline-6 engines (for making some new badges - the 2000d and 3000d)
    • Even a small V8 - say a 3.6 liter
    • The "2400" badge will have no role, since there's the "2000" for playing the role of the Base trim level, so it can go away

Also, the fuel tank, being offset to the rear right corner of the car, is a bit weird although it doesn't seem to affect the weight distribution and, therefore, the dynamic handling balance.

They can be considered too but their body design and exterior/interior details must be somewhat different in order for them to justify their higher price tags.

I agree with McBeamer94, can go the way of the Volvo 700 series. They would have a single platform and the tilt of the windshield, and the interior and body design would be different.

I would like to show my ideas for the remaster of the ETK I Series, they mainly relate to new body types and the division into models for the European and US markets.

The European version got standard bumpers, but they became less protruding to match the European ones. American bumpers were inspired by BMW bumpers of the 80s for the US market.

Very nice ideas actually! The 5-MPH accordion bumpers are missing from the BeamNG lore! ;)
Also, the Wagon looks very nice but the Coupe could have a bit of a slope in the rear end of its roof, like the E24 6 Series. But very nice in any case!

Yes, but it's an E12/28 5-Series-sized Sedan we're talking about here. An E30 3-Series Coupe of that era had exactly the same shape as the Sedan while the E24 6-Series had a more flowing design than the E12/28 5-Series on which it was based. ;)

But it’s BeamNG, it doesn’t have to be exactly accurate, that’s why it’s fun!

I mean yeah, you're absolutely right and, in fact, no BeamNG car is exactly accurate to any car someone may think for making a comparison. That's a major factor to BeamNG's success, as we all think of different car models reminding us of a single BeamNG car.
But ok, as Jeremy Clarkson once said about the E62 M6 in that Isle of Man episode, "The most important thing about Coupes is looks". ;)

Yeah and the boxy looks are best! ;) But, still I like the boxy one. Maybe there could be two? The boxy boy could be the prefacelifr, and there could be minor changes to make it slightly rounder for the facelift. IDK, I know facelifts don’t usually include body changes, but… it’s BeamNG…

Nah, facelifts are limited to non-structural parts of the bodywork like bumpers, lights, fenders and fascias because it makes no sense doing them in any other way. So the biggest change I see being done in the facelifted model is doing away with the black protective trim pieces, like now.
But, like you said, this is BeamNG! ;)
