Does an ideas and suggestions thread sound like a good place to welcome new members? Please focus on the original topic.

Maybe not a new thread to welcome them, but it would be great if the thread wouldn't go off topic. Welcome new members, but you shouldn't do it outside general discussion. After all, the original topic of this thread was an idea. Again, just saying! Please be on topic.

You are hurting my brain. You are saying not create a new thread but welcome new members in general discussion?

There is a monster truck mod floating around that used to be on this forum but has since got removed. It’s still downloadable from a third party website, which I wouldn’t recommend, but if you really want it then here you go: https://www.beam-monsters.com/

So, in reference to the OP...

This has been discussed among the community a few times now, but nothing official.

As far as official content goes, if we ever get some 48" floaters to stick on the caged frame D-Series we would have a nice stand in. Sadly the 46" crawler tires are as close as we currently have.

Hopefully someday we can get a gen 1 monster truck D-Series; the bulk of the work would be squeezing on some 2.5 ton axles while keeping the suspension geometry semi-reasonable.

Something like what OP is requesting is more along the lines of a... Gen 3?... truck. Wouldn't be much any D-Series involved in construction one of those and there's no signs of ultra-specialized official content coming, though we have been seeing more specialized stuff in recent years with the superbuilds. Not nearly to the extent of a full tube frame truck though.

As far as mods go, there's a great CRD mod already around, linked in the above comment.

    For the OP..
Yes it would be nice to have that option for the D-Series. But honestly there was once a mod that was on the official BeamNG site called CRD Monster Truck, it has since moved to it's own website and was taken over by some very skilled and talented modders who have poured several years of their own personal free time into making it probably one of the greatest mods ever created for BeamNG. I suspect that there hasn't been any official attempt at an actual monster truck in BeamNG vanilla cars cause of this mod. The CRD Monstertruck has so much done to it, it's nothing like it was way back in the early days of the mod. Several Chassis to choose from within the base mod it's self, then there are the several addon mods that add more skins, chassis, and so on to the mod with several engines to choose from. I'm just waiting for someone to come along and make an actually good leaf spring style monster truck like the ones from the 80's that you don't have to pay for. CRD Monster Truck and CRC Monster Truck is free btw..
