Some of you have probably seen me say a few times on the forums about how bad my current computer is. Well the point is, I need an upgrade. I currently get around 10-15 fps on BeamNG and with pretty much any steam game, it's even worse. (Or even totally unplayable) I've been saving up for a while and making all sorts of plans, and I think I finally have a build that could work, but I want to run it by you guys first to see what your opinions are or if I should change anything. I have some more to say, but I'll just show the specs first: Case: Carbide Series SPEC-01 Red LED Mid-Tower Gaming Case (Comes with a 120mm Red LED fan) Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Pro Gaming with Killer Networking & Sound Blaster Intel Motherboard Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell Quad-Core 3.5GHz LGA 1150 84W Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics BX80646I74770K Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB Video: MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 760 2GB Fans: Corsair Air Series 120mm Red LED Twin Pack Case Fan Power: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W (I already have a hard drive and optical drive, that's why those aren't included) At first I was basing it off of this build, but as you can see I've changed just about everything. But I'm practically in love with that case. In the video showing off that build, he could play most newer games on the highest settings. I'm assuming that since I 1up'ed his build a little bit, then I should be able to play these type of games even smoother. Right? I've never built a PC before and this is mostly new knowledge to me. Also I'll admit, I'm only 16. I don't have a steady income of any kind of money and this would be the largest purchase of my life. My biggest fear is that I'll get this, build it all, and then see just about no improvements with my gameplay. Either that or I'll get it and find out that some of my parts aren't compatible - since like I said, I'm no expert. But I'm seriously worried about this... What are your opinions?
Yes, it will run the game but I don't know at exactly what settings or at what frame-rate. I know I have a GT 650M and an Intel i7 at 2.7 Ghz and I run it at about 40-70 FPS on low with normal lighting (for the new light flares of course). The 760 should be fine paired with that processor.
Thanks. Getting my hopes up about this a little bit. My other concern is overall compatibility. Will everything plug in correctly and fit into the case?
Try and steer clear of processors with integrated graphics. Besides the cheesy graphics on the mobo it looks like a badass setup. Also, a certain generation of Intel processors seems to be completely incompatible with BeamNG, so make sure it's not one of them.
Every current model i3/i5/i7/celeron/pentium/atom has integrated graphics. Only Xeon and Itanium forgo integrated GPUs. That motherboard does not have integrated graphics, they are in the CPU itself now.
Sounds pretty beefy to me. As for the integrated graphics, I have 4600 on board and it runs beamng at a surprisingly decent clip. All newer Intel stuff is loaded with utilities to tweak and or shut off on board graphics. Nvidia has a decent suite of utilities to make sure the 760 is the default. Overall I think your new machine has plenty of power to run beam but I'd want more GPU ram personally.
I'd go with a Z97 chipset as it provides support for future Broadwell architecture and has better powering phases (OC is more stable on the Z97, though the difference might be notable at higher frequencies). Besides that, it should run the game with no problems, I am going for quite the same rig soon
I worded that poorly, I meant cheesy graphics relating to all the dragons and shit on the mobo. Like graphic designs is what I meant. I didn't know that all Intel processors had GPUs though.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone! But I actually already ordered it all recently. It was just a good opportunity and I managed to get some discounts and things like that and it was just a good time. So at this point I'll just have to wait and see! I hope this thing works!

your computer has a bit more power than mine, and I can run BeamNG absolutly fine! I can't remember the settings, but I think they are high , you will able to play a lot of other games fine too! enjoy pc gaming!
