I have an Audi A2 ('02, black, lowered with wide tires) and a lot of people say that it is ugly...
    I love it!

    I think the same.
I actually like the old 308 (except for the window line being WAY too low), but this is just horrible. Worse than the 208 IMO

It just looks really odd. But it seems Audi is completely unable of making an ugly car. They could go like "hey, let's make the most hideous car ever" and when they finish it "oh crap, it looks great".
Lowering is the worst thing you could do with that car though.

    Oh, and ugly cars?
    This bastard.

Not only does it look like an egg that stole BMW's style, but there's one thing about it that really pisses me off:
It's a front wheel drive BMW. And now they say they will make more.
If this piece of shit is responsible for the 1 series going FWD, it will be my most hated car ever. Seriously, the only reason the 1 series is a cool car is because it's a RWD hatch, which is pretty unique.

"BMW insisted that even a compact model must feature iconic BMW characteristics (such as rear wheel drive) to uphold the company's standards and image."

Welp R.I.P in pieces BMW, was nice knowing ya. Audi's better anyway ;)

I'm gonna get a lot of hate for this because for some reason people love these ugly things.

What's that sound I hear? Farmers gathering their pitchforks? I'll join in.

There kinda funky that's why many people love them and the old ones are very practical (you can take the all the seats out as benches for a picnic) but personally I don't think there that great looking either

Well i guess BMW drivers wont be spinning their tyres in a pathetic attempt to get out of their driveway in icy conditions.

I guess only the 1/2 series will go FWD.
And I'm sure the M cars won't go front drive anytime soon.

The car itself is a great feat, useful and apparently very high quality, but what in the name of christ were BMW thinking when they made the i3's window lines?

Pretty much the i3 in general is a pretty stupid vehicle, its way bigger than it should be, overpriced and overall just not a nice car to look at. The interior is about the main good point overall.

"James, this design for the new i8 is amazing, but what about the i3?"

    "...there was another one?"

"Well yes, did you forget or something? You have 30 minutes to draw the design for the i3."

"aww shit. I already drank 4 bottles of whiskey, how will I design a car that fast?"

    "Just fucking do it James."

And that's how the i3 was born.

I think the point was to make it easy for small children to see out of the windows in the back. But i have to say it looks a bit off.

Surely there was room in that car for 5 (or 4.5*) seats? That seems a little impractical.

    *half sized rear middle seat

I wouldn't ever let small children in a BMW.

Little hands grabbing all the bits of the car, smearing child-gunk all over the place, making a mess of a fine BMW? No thanks.

(Unless it's an i3, I'd drive it off a cliff if I could)

Its not too uncommon to see families with bmw's and audi's. Considering a 10 year old would have difficulty seeing out of the window of a "generic modern sedan/estate" car it seems like a decent idea. Also german cars tend to be pretty well built in terms of interior, provided your kids are not brainless (most of the time) you should have no issue.

Kids make a mess of everything. Your back seats would be dirty and full of biscuit crumbs.
