Update Speculation thread

It seems to have been oddly quiet lately - with the notable inclusion of this thread not devolving into chaos, as may usually be expected.

OT: I still think we have a bit - there's usually 1-2 weeks of finished teasers, occasionally more that come during the checking period.

 

I think next teaser will be the finished Drawing. And/or what ever it is on game or as a 3d render. This update feel the longest so I hope it has lots of goodies

 

It almost is the longest lol, been 152 days since 0.24 so far

.23 to .24 is the longest at 155 days so only a few days

 

makes sense the legacy update takes the longest, since its the one holding the most expectations and its probably also going to be under the most scrutiny from the devs themselves to make sure its fully working

 

just wondering, what do you mean by that? ...also, does anyone know why the 32 bit client branch is on 0.23 when they paid people to support it through this update? Just find that a little odd.

 

I also wouldn't be surprised if the Civetta's had some delays, between how complex a project it is and all the management reorganising they've had to do since putin's shenaningans.

I'm also intrigued to see what the map team has been up to in this time, if it's all been taken up by PBR conversions and adding traffic lights, or if they've got a surprise up their sleeves...

 

if i see any more words talking about this stupid war again, i am going to lose it. yes, the world is changing, and beam as a company has had to make a few changes based on it, but this is not the place to discuss those changes. it will just take a little longer for the update to come out. end of discussion

 

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they're implementing street signs, starting with downtown Belasco. I'd like to know if I'm turning onto the right road for the location I want to visit.

The SSRB map creator (that i forgot the name right now but is one of the devs) Stated that the Update of the map is only awaiting 0.25, so it could really mean something new about the maps

Still no evidence anything has made it beyond planning, sketches and renders. Thread needs to be locked

 

Yeah the clearly in-game covet teaser was just a myth and the whole team has been on a half year vacation completely ignoring the update schedule without a word to the community
