It's just a beta, like a beta version of game in Steam. BeamNG forums are turning into a store where you can buy mods. I don't mind donating to mod developers for their hard work to support them (I donated Nekkit myself), but paid mods on forums are a very bad trend. People don't donate to support the developer, but to get mods. It turns into an exclusively commercial thing. --- Post updated --- If you are engaged in a "business" based on the game, you should at least give part of the earnings from mods to developers.
It's really hard to understand your point about "beta." It's not a beta, the state is released. (correct me if I'm wrong crashmaster but that's my understanding.) Also according to your logic, an aftermarket car parts company should pay money to lets say Suzuki, because their business is about creating mods for a car they made?
so in theory, i would think that beamng is completely a new game since its gotten new models remaster and new textures and all? nah... this is v2.0 of the free dummy mod.... its an update, a continuation. a remaster in other words. thats how i see it anyways. i dont see a completely new mod, only an update to an existing one.
Sorry, not a beta. I tоld about demo. It's just a demo, like a demo version of game in Steam.* Car parts manufacturers buy a license from a car manufacturer (Suzuki for example) to produce spare parts for Suzuki cars, isn't it?!
