If I recall the last time something similar to this happened around the release of the D-series prerunner, and that the event didn't coincide with the release of the update, but I dont know it might mean something

It certainly will get EUDM versions. I mean, it's a Supermini with engines equal to or smaller than 2 liters (1.5 SOHC, 1.5 DOHC, 1.8 SOHC, 2.0 DOHC and all of them are Inline-4s), so it already fits greatly into the needs of the European market.

Why does the European market settle for such wimpy engines? I've heard Europeans call a 10 second 0-60 time "fast" and 1.8 liters "big"

    kind of off topic but:
When we drive slow cars fast, it feels fun
but when we drive fast cars fast, it feels boring.

And because we have narrow roads and streets that don't require high power to go fast (with the only exceptions being the steeply inclined streets/roads and mountain roads).

With that said though, I got bored of seeing 4-cylinders all the time.

Maybe it's because with great power comes great responsibility, so fast cars make us lose our interest in that sense because we constantly have our mind on not destroying the car instead of enjoying its best sounding and handling attributes.

It wouldn't surprise me if we got a 1.3 or a 1.4 aswell. Maybe even a 1.2, who knows

When you're treating with economy (usually small) cars as european tend to be, a 1.8l engine is actually kinda big, for a car that may be weighting a ton.
Plus, racing these cars that* are basically cardboard. 10 seconds is a huge speed being in one.

10sec 0-100 is not at all fast and 1.8 is not big here in europe.
Also cars here can turn and don't weight 2 tons

I wasn't saying that 1.8l was big in europe. I said it was big compared with stripped race prepared european cars (talking about old economy ones).
Here people drags a lot with old fiats (stripped to the point of basically lifting by hand the car) and where crashing is almost fatal at any speed.

You don't need a 8.1L V8 to drive the 7 miles of highway to work, my 1.2 works just fine

My view on the whole Euro V. American thing is that one of those groups has super powerful super large engines that makes everything no matter how heavy it is go fast. The other group has cars that work.

Alright guys, here is some speculation: the Charmand 1304 B, a proposed french hatchback by Gabester as part of the Concept stage that developers loathe the sight of in forum posts due to it being redundant.
This was planned as part of the concept stage, as i said earlier, and was discussed slightly without much mention of it ever again
    upload_2022-5-6_18-37-30.png
Now why discuss this with the covet remaster? Well, what if it was more than a simple remaster, but an entirely new vehicle as well?
    Allow me to explain:

There has been one (1) vehicle confirmed to have escaped from the confines of the Concept stage: the Hopper, specifically to fill the niche of a jeep vehicle in the game, but, we can go one step further and see many others likely escaped as well

Examine the Jargl DT825, blank, with nothing describing it except an ugly industrial name, but does it sound familiar? to a wentward bus? i believe this vehicle also escaped, but with some heavily name revision

the Bruckell unnammed, a 1980s station wagon, possibly based off of the LeGran, also happened, as a redo on the LeGran gave us this beauty in game, there is a third vehicle off of the list.

the 2014 Roamer never came, but we got facelifts keeping the model alive well into the early aughts, so this can be considered aswell

The more the list is examined, the more it seems the 'fake' concept stage has been implemented more than previously thought. Now, the Charmand, which Gabester describes as a french hatchback similar to a Renault 5 or a Peugeot 205. This would make it in relatively the same class as the covet, which currently is the only small 'car' in the game, not including the pigeon and widgeon. Wouldn't it be perfect timing for this to be released? alongside a covet remaster that brings in rally worthy widebody kits? I think so, and thats all my evidence yep thats right my source is i made it up

1.5 is way too big for a base model in Europe for a car as small as Covet.
