will you guys all shut up it's easy to see that paid and free mods are completely fine but the site shouldn't overflow with paid mods it's more simple than basic math
Is it really? It says © 2022 BeamNG GmbH at the bottom. Maybe it's not very strictly enforced at the moment, but things can change and it's good to know your position in the worst case scenario.
Only one person said that, most people would agree that having a majority of free mods would be better, right ?
I am convinced at this point iamthelaws mods are ripped 3d models from games such as forza or other and he probably spends very little time setting up the cars suspension and driving characteristics and they will probably drive like crap as a result and you will get bored after few minutes and dont get me started on the sounds they probably are not paid much thought either. Iamthelaw actually refused when i asked him to show gameplay of his mods so it makes me feel like he is trying to hide something.
because he 100% is lol. if he did any actual form of jbeam on his paid meshslap he wouldnt even be scared to post it publicly anywhere to show it off. somebody who does it right will do it like lucas. not only is he often online, to even reply to the misconception's about what is happening, he is a transparent and open modder that does not hide a single thing with his mod. mr iamthelaw here cant even come out of hiding to show his completely legit 100% jbeamed meshslaps to prove us otherwise that his crappy content is worth over nothing. shady mofos will hide in the dark and prey on kids that dont know better, and that has mommy's credit card in hand to give em money. honestly, seeing the rs5 and the bmw f90, i literally did those 2 meshslaps a few years ago, with forza meshes, i wouldnt even be surprised if he started off existing crap at that point. oh but pleaaaase come back crying about how that takes time and you should be paid to waste a few hours to meshslap some crappy mod. a few years ago, i decided to sell myself out to crappy youtuber who did private vids of stuff, these low effort crap takes absolutely no time whatsoever, in 1 singular day, i managed to crap out 5 different meshslaps. dont get me wrong, im talking about it but im not proud of it. it killed my motivation doing it for money to private youtuber. i ended up leaking them myself cuz screw that paid crap. and screw private youtubers that has that shady content. but this mofo even has the audacity to CHARGE MORE THEN A DEV WORTHY CONTENT... for a meshslap, and cry about how it takes time? lol bruh, get a job. outside of scamming kids from beam meshslaps that arent even yours.
Donations to a modder is the best idea i have ever seen in the modding community and it is a complete win win for both people who support paid mods and for those who hate them. A paywall is enforcing the paid only and this is why people are upset. I hope donations to a modder never stops as it means total and complete freedom of support to the modder of any amount you like and it is also a realistic reflection of the quality of the work you put out as the more you receive the more you know are doing right and should continue down that path. It's best for everyone.
I understand you're against paid mods, but don't call out like that people who buy mods, i believe it's perfectly worth it to rewards month of work and get a great mod in exchange.
Here's my 2 cents. if the mod is considered good, its your decision to buy it if the mod is considered bad, its your decision to buy it if you want to buy it, go ahead. its not the community's job to decide the quality of mods for you. use your own intuition. paid mods are not all bad. Lucas does this really cool thing called "making good mods." but again, it's not my or anyone else's job to decide the quality of mods for you, nor which mods to buy. do what you want yo do
cool, so now everybody make paid mods that's nice... worst, subscription for updating mods or season pass. edit: this is the next step
Could you possibly take your crying elsewhere and stop spamming literally every thread with your nonsense? Thanks.
why so pessimistic ? It's not like it's a new and horrible thing, paid mods have been a thing for a while and can be good as long as they're not scammy and there is something to maintain quality.
I doubd every single modder would take on the risk, especially now when they see how bad it can end (leaking, death threats, constant drama, etc.)
