Hey all I'm gonna be using this thread to be releasing NASCAR tracks for you guys to enjoy. If the track doesn't have a catchfence (which I will be updating the ones that don't at a later date) I recommend using Solarpower7's catchfence https://www.beamng.com/resources/nascar-style-safer-barrier-and-catchfence.18699/ , he does have a new one coming out soon! Credits: Damone13x amazing Track models If you enjoy these tracks and are feeling generous donate to Damone. https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/dam...1QTIXRE_Y5sRXgh0PO3yTFIfOIdg7eg5PW-zQ88AqzY6Y If you’re feeling even more generous donate to me https://cash.app/$Serigne33 (Imported from AC) Dover and Darlington will be updated but Idk when ROADMAP: Charlotte Roval, Watkins Glen More to come but undecided...
Nice nice, any wip pics or anything? Not really ideal to make a thread like this without any images, but i'm excited none the less!
--- Post updated --- There will be more to come! Next pack is expected to be Kansas, COTA, and Talladega.
Will there be an update for the Michigan, New Hampshire, and Pocono maps? or is the plan currently just to get every track in BeamNG right now?
i'm completely ok with having multiple Talladega track mods on here. especially one's from different points in the track's history.
I found a way to change Las Vegas's grainy Light Brown Tarmac texture to a Black Tarmac texture. All I did was take a texture from the Darlington map, and copy and pasted it into the Las Vegas map. You don't have to unpack the maps (I just did to easily visualize it), you only need 7-Zip or whatever Zip file viewer you have. First you have to open Darlington2022, go to levels > darlington > art > shapes > base. Locate road_dark_jm.dds, copy it. Next open Vegas2022, go to levels > Vegas2022 > art > shapes > base. Delete file NR2003 2022-04-29 16-56-52.dds (or rename it). Paste road_dark_jm.dds into the folder, and rename the file NR2003 2022-04-29 16-56-52.dds Yes on the apron the texture is a bit stretched, but I think it looks better than the grainy texture. Also this will probably be a temporary modification as thatonekid789 himself will probably make changes to the Las Vegas map in the future.
Good stuff! You taught me something new there too and yes I may possibly update but after I release new tracks. Also I made it light brown cause that's what the tracks looks like irl.
I personally like the touch to the track surface to get it close to the irl version, it’s a not needed detail that was attempted to be checked off, and I think while it could’ve come out better, still does a great job at showing off Las Vegas in it’s true form. Also, it imo is the easiest track to script AI on, as I have no problems setting up 7-8 cars in a half hour and getting them within half a straightaway, 2-3 wide, and passing each other for a lap, maybe a lap and a half, long enough to gain speed to have a big crash. It’s my favorite of my maps you’ve released, and while I really like Michigan, I’m finding myself staring to like Darlington a little more than it too. Great maps, 10/10 these are fantastic
I did find a different texture from the Darlington map that matches Las Vegas's road a bit better. Again some of the textures are stretched it mostly looks ok. I also had to rotate the image to get the lines to go the right way, I'll just upload the file with the name changed, it should be the same steps.
DUDE THATS LITERALLY HOW IM UPDATING MICHIGAN RIGHT NOW! Literally everything you just explain is what I’ve been doing for the past 2hrs. --- Post updated --- I’ve also figured out the grainy texture situation so no future tracks will be like that
Updated version of Michigan has been uploaded! (see in first post) After combining all the other things I've learned from the other uploads I can definitely say this is the best so far, enjoy!
