A new 10th anniversary configs/trim for some cars (pessima, covet, 200bx...) would be a nice addition
"10th Anniversary" editions are a nice idea for driving the point home. The 4 cars that constituted the game back in 2012 (D-Series, Bolide, Grand Marshal, Covet) could each get a variant like this! But this means the Grand Marshal has finally got to receive the 2nd remaster it so badly needs.
Anniversary editions of the original cars is quite a cool idea. Many IRL cars have had anniversary editions before (Volvo 480 Celebration, Mini 25th edition, RR Silver Shadow 75th anniversary, Reliant Robin 65 etc etc) Even if its as much as a red stripe down the side and different wheels. Entirely possible, I can't imagine the devs have forgotten the game's anniversary.
Do you guys think this update will be as big as 0.24 and 0.24.1 since it’s pretty much in the same timeframe? The devs had said they planned on going back to the 3 month cycle but that didn’t happen so I expect another big update.
obvioulsy same or bigger, considering it's 0.25 is probably going to be considerably bigger Might be wrongtho but everything in this thread could be wrong so...
i think it will be big in the sense that things in the backround of the game will be changed alot, not so much as visible content like vehicles or maps but alot of refinement in mechanics, im assuming what takes this update so long is that they are ensuring that every vehicle works properly with a mechanics change to what im guessing relates to aero and deformation, which would require alot of testing, especially if they implement a system in which vehicle damage would affect aerodynamics more than simplely wings falling off, like if an open door caused drag, or putting a aero cone on the front and rear of the car made it for fuel efficient, etc hopefully this also works out with the new vehicle, and what i assume are the various kinks that result from having this new type of vehicle in, in my eyes, this delay is most likely a bottleneck of polishing aero and deformation (since the new supercar is likely capable of high speeds, and therefor needs a much more refined deformation system than most vehicles which are incapable of reaching said speeds)
Getting off topic perhaps, but reason I was thinking of the 10th anniversary model is because I own a Toyota Aristo 10th Anniversary. So seeing a similar trim in the game, would be awesome. They wouldn´t need to go overboard with it, just some small trim details, like this.
I wonder what the next teaser will be. Not so when. I think it will be the week after. or the one after that ( the 31st or 1st iss my guess ) IT may be sooner. May not be. it does seen like other then the Covet. and The 32 bit version going. I wonder what is going on. I wonder if next teaser will be the new car. ? I think this. I think we may have a chance it will be Covet again. it almost seems like this update is a smaller one. BUT maybe its not. If its the covet i think it will be the FULL Body. ( so you see the entire car ) OR it will be another body style if there is one ( SEDAN/wagon ect ) And/or facelift. 2nd place. I think if not the Covet i think it will be the new car. Even if its JUST in game or a 3d render. If it is looking finished then count the update. About a mouth away. 3rd place. If not the other 2 i think it may be a Another remaster. Like Moonhawk. Or what ever car they want to remake with there love.. And last place. it may be a prop. OH and last last place Unlikely. But possibly a ALL new car or map. But nah. i dont think that
Pure speculation about the teaser which is itself something that helps us to speculate, I think that we'll see either the Covet interior since we already saw the exterior a couple times, or the new Civetta with remastered Italy in the background... Because, I was thinking that if developers add the new Civetta, a true Italian flagship, that would be quite nice that they remaster Italy at the same time !
looking at the amount of content that was in the previous update, i'd guess that the majority of the covet remaster would take as much time as the pessima remaster did, with the MR turbo taking about as much work as the race bolide variants. leaving the time taken for the bastion and main bolide remaster to the new civetta, that still leaves all the room for something the size of the van remaster. considering that remastered lightbars are in the files, and the bastion/bolide got interior police equipment, I'd say there's a fair possibility we might also see the "re-remaster" of the grand marshal this update.
in the mr turbo teaser it looks like a graphical improvement of the environment and maybe the car textures
Apart from the headlights, which are only very well-made textures (unless refraction is added but that's very improbable), everything is the same.
The devs need to implement realistic turn signals. Every turn signal in the game currently behaves like a LED which is just really weird looking. The devs should add halogen lights.
Doesn't need to be different, the Covet mostly has bad textures in the interior and underside, main body panels are fine I think
i remember seeing some italy drawing with minor diferences like an old destroyed surch and grass like on small island usa
That actually reminded me to see if the game engine changed with all of those UI changes. I just checked and gameengine.zip is completely different than 0.23. Could signal something being added to the game engine soon.
