I hate to say this but there's a small smell of a paid mod release of this once completed
am i right to presume so?

Idk why everyone thinks that all mods now are going to be paid, im sure it will still remain a very niche thing

And besides, if it is paid Dean will probably tell us sooner or later

 

It would be truly sad if it was for $5 because then that means Nissan drivers will have to buy 99 packs of cigarettes instead of 100 if they want to use this mod.

 

its his first mod, its not best to drop a paid mod as your first mod

Actually he made the 2012 Charger and a Ram awhile ago. The Ram would basically need to be remade from scratch at this point, however the Charger has had a lot of updates by various people. Seeing how it is using a edited vanilla J-Beam, I doubt it will be paid but in the end, it is his choice.

i think the point of that was that the delorean wasnt paid, and was a first mod, to compare it to this being a first mod and also not being paid

The delorean wasn't his first mod though. It was the third, he had a F3 and F2 car before that.

The Sunburst and the Pessima are too ancient to be used as the base of a modern car. The Vivace, on the other hand is perfect to serve as the base of any modern FF car, since it has both a torsion beam rear suspension as well as a Multilink rear suspension for nicer and/or AWD models. Basing it on the Bastion is not a good idea because it is too large, too heavy and is a FR car

 

While I do agree that long conversations about whether it'll be paid or not are pointless, not everyone can afford extra things like this...

OT: Still think it should be named Satsuma _____, like the other Nissans are... but honestly, there isn't any real "best" base because we don't have a FF modern sedan. I'd probably have the base be Bastion in shape, Vivace in powertrain.
