the bastion itself is an amazing car, there is one thing i hated when it came out. people complained about its design and said its "bland" "too boring" but overall. is amazing

What would be cool would be to see an earlier generation of the Bastion as well, to see how its evolution

the moonhawk is more of a cheap personal luxury car, like a monte carlo, so it's built on a slightly enlarged variant of something like a GM/Chrysler "A" platform.
but depending on where the primary inspiration comes from for the bastion:
it's either like a charger, which was a version of the fullsize "B-body" coronet with a sportier roofline,
or it's like an impala, so there's a direct lineage from a regular fullsize "B-body" car.

so either way, it would be really close in size and shape to the moonhawk or bluebuck, so there's little reason to add an older bastion for driving dynamics/archetype reasons.

well i had an idea where the Bastion was just a trim to the Moonhawk, something like the "Moonhawk Bastion 454 SS"

That's actually a great idea because the Moonhawk is really light on content. It only has one body style, two engine options and four variants based on these two engine options (Base 244CUI Inline-6, Base 378CUI V8, Sport 378CUI V8 and Sport Special 378CUI V8), which is incorrect for a car of its era.

As for the Moonhawk engines, here are my ideas as I wrote them in the Update Speculation Thread.

    244CUI Inline-6
    - Choked Base version: 1976-78 facelift
    - 160hp version, as we know it: 1973-75 prefacelift

    V8 Smaller than the 378CUI V8, middle-ground between the 244 and the 378
    - 1973-75 prefacelift, 1976-78 facelift - it can stay on both life cycles with its power/torque figures unchanged, for those who don't want a large V8 or the 244CUI Inline-6 (and it can also be shared with the small RWD "Bruckell Lombardia" Subcompact I imagined of in the Vehicle Suggestions Thread)

    Diesel V8 with available Turbocharger
    - 1976-1978 facelift - as a response to the gas crunch

    378CUI V8
    - The non-choked 2-barrel 181hp/4-barrel 208hp versions as we know them: 1973-75 prefacelift
    - Choked 2-barrel/4-barrel variants: 1976-78 facelift. These choked variants can coexist with the smaller gas V8, for those who just want more displacement plus a bit more torque out of it

V8 larger than all of the aforementioned engines, with standard 4-barrel carburetor
    - Non-choked: 1973-75 prefacelift
    - Choked: 1976-78 facelift

Older generations doesn't necessarily mean 1970's. Personally I'd be happy to see a not-an-LX-Charger/Magnum in game. While they would have more overlap than the two Pessima's have, it would be in a different market position than the existing Bastion, being a great choice for early game straight line performance.

Also it would be a far more justifiable platform for a wagon. Which would be a great contrast to the ETK 85X.

Talking about Wagons, all old American cars in BeamNG are good for Wagons to be based on them. Along with the Wagon variant of the Bruckell LeGran, all these 5 cars have sufficiently different (to say the least) designs, so each one can reflect the era in which it was conceived without being in danger of misguiding us for a different car model.
Also, all these 5 American cars span through 5 consecutive decades, with design evolving in all 5 of these decades.
    • The Burnside Special in the 50s (1953 - 1954)
    • The Gavril Bluebuck in the 60s (1962 - 1963)
    • The Bruckell Moonhawk in the 70s (1973 - 1978)
    • The Bruckell LeGran in the 80s (1984 - 1993)
    • The Gavril Grand Marshal in the 90s (1990 - 1997, and that's before the imminent 2nd part of its remaster)

I hope the 6 liter diesel gets added to the bastion. I mean its in the scintilla why not the bastion. (hope this is on topic)

This is possible, but I think they might be saving the role of a diesel in the Bastion for a more modern diesel coming in a Bruckell pickup truck that could possibly be coming in the future.

The 6.0 Turbodiesel V8 is a Gavril unit so it makes no sense why put it in a car made by Bruckell, a directly competitive brand. Plus, when we take the lore into consideration, this engine is 37 model years old (it was presented in 1986, for the D-Series) and, what's more, it's an engine made for heavy-duty workloads, so it makes even less sense than before because it doesn't have the refined operational characteristics of a modern Diesel engine, heavy-duty or not.

The Scintilla Off-Road variant is a totally different case: someone found a wrecked Scintilla, bought it and their imagination went through the roof. Think of the Exoskeleton Huracan! ;)

I've been thinking this for awhile now. We got 2 of the top requests in a row (supercar and LD Charger). Combine that with the need to get Bruckell's roster filles up to speed, the Bastion engines in common folder, and the need for a modern off roader and another heavyweight.... There's a lot of reasons to expect one soon IMO.

But yeah, as much as I want more aftermarket swaps a 1980's Gavril diesel in a modern Bruckell would be a weird decision.

It makes sense for Bruckell to fill its roster with a modern Full-Size Pick-Up Truck (plus a modern Full-Size SUV based on the same frame) because the modern engines of the Bastion (3.5 V6, 5.7 V8, 6.5 V8, 6.5 Supercharged V8 - all complete with the 8-Speed Automatic Transmission, of course) can make for a whole lineup of variants.
The only engine needed to complete the modern Bruckell Full-Size Pick-Up/SUV lineups is a truly big (and equally modern) Inline-6 Turbodiesel. After all, it's a niche we haven't seen being filled in the game yet.
