Sounds good. Another thing I noticed is that if you do the train loop, there's one place where logs or something appear on the tracks in the distance, but as you get closer they disappear. I'm not sure if it's something on my end, or if you see it too.
I love the general feel of this map, it is very cosy. That could just be nostalgia speaking since I've driven in places like this, but excellent work so far! My biggest complaints are that there is no abandoned/demolished station to go with the intact one, and that this bit of track derails trains with alarming frequency. Also where the abandoned rail spur ends by the gas station you can see the void inside the track, but that is some pretty extreme nitpicking, and you pretty much have to be looking for it to spot it. --- Post updated --- I missed this before, but there is a similar spot on the other corner of the train line. Also not fun for trains at 30+ mph, and you can see the terrain through the ballast.
Hello. I like this map, it's very fun and the roads are cool, although there is one bus zone pictured below that is a bit too small for a bus to properly pull over into. This is a 35 foot bus for comparison, although the standard length is 40. I suggest that it should be expanded so buses can fit in it, similar to the other zones.
Thank you for your suggestion! --- Post updated --- also please update your version to the latest (1.0) where I already updated that area
Here's my latest short list of suggestions to improve the map: 1. The earlier mentioned railway crossings, particularly the asphalt texture which looks much worse compared to the roads. 2. Here's the earlier mentioned artifact in the distance lying across the railway track. 3. Some rather deep overlay on some parts of asphalt. Makes the tires look buried. 4. Water that's too transparent and invisible. Here there's a puddle that you can't see until you drive into it. The creek on the map also has nearly invisible water. That's it for now. Like I said it's otherwise a nice and fun map.
Hi! Thank you for your suggestions! Let me asnwer to them: 1. The railways and the crossings are imported prefabs, that means I got them from a dev (ofc with a permission). So sadly they are relatively low res prefabs, that I may can change, but I can't promise. 2.This "issue" is just a loading distance thingy (and maybe a LOD-related issue). This is a kind of "bug" how the game renders these railway prefabs. Of course, if it's a bug in my side, I will look into it. 3.Known issue, looking into it, however there aren't any solutions yet. 4.I'm sure this is fixable easily, so I'm going to fix that right now! Again, thanks for your time and for playing Rocky Coast USA!
What you could probably do relatively easily is bury the crossing prefabs more, similarly to how it was done in the Collinas mod map. This way the high-resolution road textures cover the ugly prefab more.
This mod is sick! I made a downtown scene for it! --- Post updated --- Also could you make a license plate for the map?
