You can even check it on steam, but that's not the trailer date, it's the steam release date. But anyways it was proven that the anniversary will be at may 29th.
Yeah, basically there could be 3 anniversaries; the first trailer, the first release and the steam release.
So, to sum it up correctly, May 29 2022 is the 10 year anniversary of the original vid, May 29 2025 is the anniversary of the steam game. The update is not an anniversary update coming tomorrow, however there will be some celebration for the anniversary.
1) yes, planned, no promises though - lots of work 2) you mean parallax, yes we are working towards that - think of water puddles on top of the road We are working on sth, but its a bit delayed unfortunately I would suggest to look forward to the update after this one This is a big topic, but the update after this will have some feature that we worked on for some months now that is in that direction Yes, we want to get them as well, but we are not happy on how to do them correctly yet :/ Stay tuned.
wow tdev those were some very juicy replies i love the news about visual dirt/scratches/mud then the tires too very exciting!! @tdev what about actual vehicles fully burning to a shell state? This can be achieved already by the user by removing tires front and rear bumpers interior & glass & lights, then changing the car & rims to a dark matt brown/blackish color giving a fully burnt out car shell effect and saving it as a preset, so my question is can this be done for example when the car enters that burnt extinguished fire state after (IE) 60-120 seconds leaving just a burnt out car shell like a car irl when fully burnt out? that'd be a quite epic implementation if i may suggest it to you & the team.
How am I more excited for 0.26 than for 0.25 now? Anyways, 2022 is looking like an awesome year for BeamNG.
Guys, this confirms it, the update WILL be 0.25. Everyone stay calm, I know this is big news. Are there any features or big additions we don't know about yet? I don't want to know what it is, if there is one, i just like the sense of mystery if there is one
Maybe also a japan map? For every fan of forza horizon would have their long awaited map! (joke aside, a mexico map would be extremely interesting, even if th already did it) Best way to inflate the hype with one 307x17 image, 5129pixels and three colors only.
So tdev just goes and casually confirms tire thermals and some sort of work towards scratches in 0.26 like it's nothing, all we had to do was ask Which made me think: does BeamNG currently differentiate between metal and plastic? (I have no idea how it all works internally but the plastic bumpers bend pretty similarly to metal parts and don't crack, so I suspect not.) I'd like to baselessly speculate that they're working on more in-depth material settings that would result in more detailed physical properties for metal/plastic/cloth maybe and also allow having realistic scratches on all of those materials in the future.
nodes are already defined as to whether they're plastic, metal, rubber, wood, etc. but otherwise the properties of beams generally defines the strength of the material.
