I'm overwhelmed with all this and am not going to jump to anymore conclusions. I need serious time to play around with this and figure out all the new stuff, tweaks etc.
The last thing on my mind right now is tweaking vehicle files...lol. Certainly as the devs have stated, file system changes are flying all over the place.

Try restarting steam. That should fix it.

um... I have two issues. First is at the map: Hirochi Race Track, I have trees w/ the orange "No Texture" boxes. 2nd the game appears to run slower on "normal" settings than before. I have currently had to turn down my settings to "low" to regain a playable FPS.

The "No Texture" is there because the map isn't finished. The second issue is caused on new maps because they are currently unoptimized.

Nothing's missing; that's how truck steering is. The entire assembly is on the left side, and then there's just a tie rod across the axle to synchronize the wheels. I screwed up the geometry of the steering mechanism when I was modeling it, so the steering arm linkage isn't steering the truck (if it did, the truck wouldn't drive straight and it'd wobble like crazy).

For those interested, here's my to-do list for the T75:

    -model windshield wipers
-UV cab, pack with hood and other body parts, texture
    -INTERIOR

After the basic truck is done, then I'll think about doing some upfits, like fixed cargo boxes, as well as trailers (they'll have to be parts for now, like the D15's, because we don't have a hitching system yet).

This, simply put, is fucking amazing. Hats off to the whole dev team. Everyone. It's awesome.
Even with an incomplete sunburst on the Hirochi track lasted me with an hour of endless fun. The only reason I stopped is because I needed to eat. Could have kept on doing that for a lot longer. Can't wait to try out East coast.
Also tried out the t75 and saw that it rapes my system, like I suspected. By taking stuff off of it it gets a bit better though. Still a lot of fun.
Idk if its just the sunburst, because I didn't even use any of the older vehicles, but the traction seems better. More grippy, and hell of a lot more fun to race.
Haven't even had time to check out the better collision in depth, but it looks like the wheels deform with the body a lot better now.

Wow this is great. Love seeing the new collision physics and vehicles/parts. Lots of fun. Now I can finally haul vehicles around without them violently shaking off. Thank you all very much.

Also, wise words to all out there, don't jackknife the trailor and let it land on your bed, it will come off...

I was a bit annoyed that they changed the inputmap thing so I couldn't just copy over my inputmap. But it was a simple fix.

I can't seem to get my controller to work it seems to be recognized as a unknown0 rather than a gamepad0, even though it works in the Input Test screen.

Xbox 360 controller bug: it continues to zoom in/out even after you release the zoom button. Other than that, brilliant job everyone! Drastic handling improvements as well as collision improvements; less clipping. Sunburst just rips 'round the track!

Oh god the Bolide is actually drivable. PRAISE JESUS

Really every single vehicle feels so much more planted and less slidey, it's incredible. And no noticable FPS drop!

In other news, are Hirochi Raceway's curbs supposed to be incredibly dangerous? Sometimes when I clip one on a straightaway it'll rend the wheel right off of my car.

Here's why you don't give the car you worked hundreds of hours on, through health and through hardship, to the general public:

They'll wreck it in a second. I was cruising down East Coast in my 1.8-AWD-CVT Sunburst when I saw a dirt path. I tried to turn around with a handbrake turn, then the back slid into a tree and I totaled the rear-left suspension. Let's hope my insurance covers stunt driving :p Dat rear suspension travel tho... Anyway, nice job, gabester! (By the way, it still drove)
