Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon Thanks for the crash test pics AR! I like the rear up bend on the roofline. I don't see anything in the deformation that looks awkward aside from the usual Moonhawk deform tendencies. Would you do me a HUGE favor and test the T-bone characteristics of the wagon? Now that the T-75 is available a 60-80mph T-bone should do the trick. If I need to grovel I'll do it. - - - Updated - - -
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon I'll try tomorrow I haven't tried this mod in the new experimental version, I hope everything works out as planned...
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon mopower must be from the plains, lol. there are MANY different rulesets around the country from knocking the windows out(my local fair a guy litterally bought the car that day, drove it to the fairgrounds and knocked the windows out/removed the airbags and went for it...I don't particularly like these rules but to each their own.), to welding thousands of pounds of pipe and sheet metal into them. I think one of the most varied rulesets around the country often include drivetrain swaps, bumper swaps with a better means to keep them on, a 4 point cage and roll over bar. Then you get into a lot of other things, like kickers, hump plates...engine protectors, etc. The list is endless. I think a good base for derby cars in video games are the doors being welded or chained shut(along with fenders, trunks/hoods, etc), but still having them take a noticeable amount of damage(dents, scrapes, rips), along with the rear end "packing" in and the front "nosing" up(finding a good variation is probably the hardest part i'd imagine, you dont want them to bend too fast, but at the same time too slow). My hat is off to you, the wagon is looking great...i can't wait to try these beasts out. I have a feeling your mods will be some of my most used...especially when they figure out how to stop the vehicles from sticking together on impact
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon I'm from Wisconsin! Well, i was only trying to give a rough sort of idea. And yeah, compact derbies like that are pretty lame lol
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon Made two new parts today, go find them in the screenshots Put the mod in the new experimental version, luckily it worked out well. I did look into the new Moonhawk version, there are some changes so I might update my mod to the new one. And did some crashtesting, look at the screens... (enough? )
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon I see a surf board and a trailer hitch. Now release this to beta immediately.
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon straight 6, with 6 in a rows... dont think i've ever seen that. Think you might make some 4 into 1 headers for the v8? also, loving the way the rear of the wagon is bending...thats pretty damn close to how a roundback bends
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon Looks great, and supposedly a friend got my sound sbc with 4 into 1 header sound recording in game. .. anyone interested?
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon By the way, if you could find a way to raise the front bumper height. .. through suspension modifications, that'd make the derby version even better. Edit: don't stress over it though, just a thought!
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon Thank you. Okay that's it. I'm done and satisfied...beta time. I see a surf boad and a trailer hitch and congrats on having your mods included in the experimental! These mods are going to be insane and right up there with the all time best in my book.
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon The wagon deformation looks a bit sketchy but I don't really care as much as I do for the sedan, it's nice to see some addons aswell . This will definetly be one of my all-time favourite mods out there.
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon It's almost done; it still needs some tweaking and that always takes more time than expected. I'll try to release it during the weekend. Earlier someone asked the weights of the cars, and because it's almost done I can finally show some results. I used the lightest engine, the I6:coupe sedan stationframe with engine only: 1043kg 1060kg 1060kg with body, no doors etc 1317kg 1362kg 1420kgfull 1590kg 1676kg 1735kg And I've made two version; one for the old stable BeamNG and one for the Experimental (uses multi-DEA, and improved wheel and suspension jbeams) I'm probably only going to upload the experimental as I think everyone here uses it And the answer to the last question of the two new parts... Didn't I earlier said tow hitches will be included? Oh well, I meant the derby kickers in the second screen Added two new screens; I do like the cross version, it's light, has all the 'make stronger parts' and therefore is very durable and still quite fast Unfortunately I can't drive on the East Coast The game freezes when its done loading... It's probably my old laptop (It can handle multiple cars, even the truck, at once but near grass the FPS goes way down...) Edit; a small thing I forgot to mention; I found out when you put the word 'hinge' in a breakgroup's name, the program recognizes it as a hinge
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon Please may you upload old version as well as my server can't run experimental
Re: Bruckell Moonhawk Sedan & Station wagon Now i see what you're talking about. The kickers generally run down the outside, not through the firewall, on the front of the firewall and along the top of the frame, but not really past the a-arms. They bend at 90 to make a similar angle that the frame and firewall make where they meet
