It's been possible in Rigs Of Rods having bikes. How about bikes, already in the game, officially modelled/designed by the vehicle dev, like gabester? I mean, the only game with bikes and cars in the same games is basically freeroam games, like GTA or Watch Dogs. Bikes would allow enthusiasts to drive them around, and when Multiplayer will come out, Bikes VS Cars races, highway pulls, etc.. would be a nice thing to see. I dont think they're out of place, i'm not asking tanks or things like that i've already seen in some posts (wtf). What do you guys think? Should Drive have bikes?
Officially made by the devs? Nah, it doesnt exist, for sure devs know the game better than anyone else. I'm pretty sure it's possible, it's missing the human factor, but it's something that could be done. I mean, before there were missing McPhersons, and now they are here. It's something that requires some work on it, but it's not impossible.
Are you implying no modders are as good as the official devs? Bike attempts have been made. Balancing is the issue. I believe someone used invisible gyroscopes to stabilize it before.
I never said no one is good as the devs. But for sure, devs know the game better than anyone. they have the ideas, they make them, someone could learn them, and become good as them, sure, but they are the ones who can make it faster than everybody else. In another game, me and my team made a bike based off gyros, and it works just well. it just depends from how you do it. I would post the code, but the difference it's huge between the two games, and it would be useless.
If the devs know the game so well... why weren't they the first to make planes? Helicopters? Attempts at bikes? Trailers?
I guess because they are busy forming the basics to build a game on? By saying that, you're implying that devs arent good as modders, are you sure about that?
You are incorrect. That is not implied at all. There's simply a very large difference between making content for a game you have developed and content for a game you've had nothing to do with. Such as SCS Software's failed attempt at creating multiplayer for their trucking games and a 3rd party succeeding in their place. A different mindset can create vastly different outcomes.
But still, there are different people behind the developement of this game, which means that different ideas it's a thing behind the developement.
