It's about time the aero simulation got improved, on the Scintilla some hacky-ish solutions were used to make it behave like it should (they work flawlessly but go against what the aero simulation was intended to do), a new model would be better than finding workarounds in this one imo
By the way, what does SkinDragCoef do ? I was wondering if i could use it to fix the drag problem on my mod
I have absolutely no idea, I didn't even know it was a thing, and I haven't seen it used anywhere on vanilla cars, where did you find it? Edit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skin_friction_drag
With power butterfly doors on the Scintilla being a thing and mods like LucasBE's K-Series in the game, I feel like this suggestion I made over 3 years ago could now be coming to fruition.
I I guess the fabric physics for the convertible physics was the bottleneck, as you can see from Lucas's EtkK, where folding roof creates a spike, which is probably lower than devs' standards
A hardtop convertible might be possible though, if they can get it to reliably extend and retract without damaging any beams across 3 hinges.
Aero parts change the aerodynamics of the body, which gets disabled when they break off. I guess to simulate airflow.
Yeah, Sunburst and the 200BX are in NEED of a Remaster, the Moonhawk as well, it's weird for me they're going for the ETKs first, their interior is already Full PBR and well textured, just lacks parts overall, but not a full blown remaster.
Is it a full blown remaster though ? The shape is the same for the grille and headlights, it could very well only be a revamp.
Well, ETK K need only some tweaks and final touches where Moonhawk, Sunburst and 200BX need a lot more work. Basically they need redone whole cars at this point.
Comparing the current model to the one in the teaser, it seems smoother. Plus, the kit would need it's own textures since the changes are quite drastic compared to the Covets addons we saw which were much simpler parts. Also, the K-Series suffers from a similar issue to the 96 Pessima previously which is the lack of fun and parts, not entirely a lack of quality. Though it could still be an add-on, this is just my opinion.
The K-Series is also full of bugs that need to be fixed and the remaster is a good opportunity for that
I don't see any configs that aren't in the game yet; I assume stenyak did check what configurations he was going to post
I think the oversteer reduction assistant works OK, for most RWD cars set to 130% for drift cars set 100%
I wonder if they do the same thing as the do with LeGran remaster and add another Solliad with Moonhawk remaster. Like Soliad Eldorado. Part of car hidden on this chart looks like side of Moonhawk for me
