1 is the best, 3 is the worst. --- Post updated --- But I'm pretty sure that cars have smaller turning radius than planes
Some how, and i dont know how, or know if its possible but i just deleted 22gb worth of backups from pre 2020, might help performance a dash... Edit: scratch that, 26 gb, huge performance gains
Call me a hippie if you want... but I'll never pay for any of those streaming services as long as I'm alive. Never paid for Spotify, never bought Netflix, never bought GamePass. Sometimes I'll listen to music online but if I can own it physically I'll always prefer that. Hell, I don't even have a blu-ray player (unless a PS3 counts ).
This. Pay for these stuff only if you can truly own them, physical CDs or music files downloaded to your own hard drive.
I do understand the want to own things - I personally cannot afford anything of the sort, so I use the free version of streaming services. If I could afford anything though, I personally would be buying the music permanently, same as you two. I simply recommended what I did because, for a person who doesn't care about the added value of the permanence of ownership, Spotify Premium is a MUCH better deal. I was very surprised to have someone respond to something from 4 months ago
One month ago i managed to snap 3 pictures of an antonov an12 when i was out, it was going from paris to an airport around 20 miles away. i was happy as i had always wanted to see an an12, but little did i know that this would be its last ever trip to the uk. I woke up this morning to find this, after a bit more digging on flight radar, i found that it is the exact same plane as what i saw, What do you guys think of this? Im personally still shocked and lost for words.
This is truly horrible, I can't imagine seeing something that I always wanted to see and it gets devastated shortly after. Rest in peace to the victims.
Oh god damnit. Yet another paid mod announced on the BeamNG sub-reddit, another modder I've lost respect for. You either die (in this case quit) a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become a villain, I suppose. There is zero obligation for a creator to maintain a mod after they've taken your money. Months before the small paid wave, I announced an idea for an official program to have modders submit potantial official content. All y'all's call me a dumbass for suggesting that, but now who's laughing, eh?
Again it's LJ it's gonna be a scratch made mod and will continue to work for the next 10 updates or something probably
I feel like you underestimate a lot of our community. We have some awesome modders that have amazing skills that have decided that they want to use those skills to mod BeamNG, occasionally for a profit. I also think you underestimate the amount of work that goes into creating a normal, lower quality mod, no less a dev quality mod. There’s a reason the devs themselves get paid to do this stuff. Sure, they technically don’t have an obligation not to steal your money and run off with it, but who’d buy from them again after that? Plus, most of them keep their mods updated for a pretty good while anyways. Many of the mods that you see which are outdated relied on other vehicles assets which have since changed. Most of the dev quality modders will make everything in their mod completely from scratch. Edit: Your account is nearly 10 years old. You went 9 and a half YEARS without paid mods. Many games that get paid mods probably don’t go 3 months before seeing the first ones pop up, and they probably aren’t anywhere near as finicky and hard to develop as a BeamNG vehicle mod is.
Yay, 37 degrees Celsius (98.6 degrees Fahrenheit) tomorrow, and code orange. I can't wait to have a heatstroke
First off, I don't underestimate shit. The community has developed mods that the devs had previously deemed impossible with the engine. Think things like Gull's traffic mod or BeamMP. Released for free to the community they love to show how amazing the game engine, and thus the game, can be, and how dynamic realistic it can be. Paid cars for a game in development are not done for love. They aren't done to show the devs what is possible with their own engine. They're done to profit from people who don't know better. How long is it until we get a $5 meshslap? BeamNG is NOT Assetto Corsa. It is NOT X-Plane. It is NOT R-Factor 2. It is an indie game still in development and a paid mod has no place here yet. In the future? Absolutely! I even welcome it when they're released for a game that's flipping finished. Tell me; do you purchase games from EA? Ubisoft, perhaps? --- Post updated --- Ah yes! Finally someone with some sense. Seems some here are blinded by an artificial light.
I completely agree. and I agree that SOME modders do this to profit off those who don’t know better. And you’re right, they suck, but the keyword here is SOME. Many of the quality modders that have released paid mods just decided that they wanted to make a bit of money off of something they normally do for free. I think that’s perfectly OK. And it’s not like they’re goal is to make money off those who don’t know better, even if they do end up with that happening. At least they’re getting a quality mod from the deal, especially compared to some of the other stuff they’ve probably bought. I also don’t find a problem with making paid mods for an in development game, as long as the creator is prepared and would like to keep the mod updated and functioning. This goes back to the “some modders argument”. There are a lot of unethical modders out there, so don’t buy from them. Look for modders who actually care.
