Yep, say a predecessor to the Wendover, with the baroque American styling of the early 80s: wood, leather, chrome and angles abounding, wire hubcaps (like the Bruckell GranLuxe hubcaps) with thin whitewalls, colour-coordinated interior with thickly padded seats with buttons, an electric soft top and, also, a vinyl-padded roof and opera lights for its coupe variant. It could also have FWD (therefore sharing the same transverse I4 and V6 powertrains with the rest of the Bruckell/Soliad models) and, as a cherry on the top, a precursor to the digital dashboard and the WIS infotainment interface. Like the '79-85 Buick Riviera did in its final model year. On the other hand though, it could also be a car made in the late 60s and having the best version of the coke bottle shape. A low-slung, 2-door, RWD behemoth with discreet shark-face design motifs in its front and rear ends (plus the fuel door on the latter) and sporting, among other engines, the 378CUI V8 in its performance glory days, before the 1973 downturn. Such a Soliad model could make for great competition against the more traditional Burnside Bacchus, as it was proposed back in 2014. This post seems a bit off for this thread, so I'll be copying it to the Vehicle Suggestions thread too, after the appropriate fiddling of course.
That's a lot of stuff, a more likely thing to happen is that the moonhawk gets a soliad twin when it gets revamped, like Mopar and GM had various different versions of the same muscle/sedan cars
there's been nothing to suggest they're doing it yet? for the covet we've obviously seen the Mr. Turbo Teasers, the moonhawk just got a new rear fascia, there have been some discussions of the sunburst getting boxer engines, and the SBR's engine got moved to the common folder. i'm sure the BX isn't that far down the list, there hasn't been any word from the devs.
What about the fact a V8 was confirmed to be coming to it? Know it’s been known for a while but it confirms the remaster is happening
The 200BX V8? AFAIK that was mentioned back in 2014 or so and never again. I'm sure we'll see a V8 swap eventually in it, but that's just another case of content mentioned and abandoned in the early days of the game
When was that mentioned? --- Post updated --- I'm still surprised the 200bx has no factory turbo or even a rally and homologation version. It really lacking content. I also feel tons of other cars could use homologated rally versions, I series, both pessimas, and the Miramar and LeGran. Also where's the touring car I series?
If I remember correctly, the Nissan 240SX didn't have a factory turbocharger in the units sold for the American market. But I agree, a turbocharger from factory would be sweet.
Yes, for the American market, the S13 had the KA24DE, purely for insurability reasons - back then, turbocharged engines in the US meant higher insurance premiums, for some reason. Everywhere else, the car was available with the CA18 and the SR20, in all their NA and turbocharged versions.
The ETK ProCar idea is very nice, actually. It means there's gonna be some competition for the Gr.5 Civetta Bolide. As for the existing ETK content, the Track variant of the I-Series could very well be renamed into "DTM" and represent the famous sport by covering the (obviously empty atm) DTM niche in the game lore. It clearly is inspired by the DTM race cars after all. The only thing missing from it is the center-lock wheelhub, like the WTCC Pessima has. ETK could also be represented in the European Cabover Truck/Lorry niche, as well as the European Van and Pick-Up Truck one. For the Euro Van and Pick-Up Truck niches, it already has the Turbodiesel 2.0 I4 and 3.0 I6 engines. As for the Euro Cabover Truck niche, a monster I6 with 15.6l, 3000Nm and 625hp/460kW (like the most powerful version of the Mercedes OM473 engine) would be nice, thank you very much! Edit: there are also the Euro City Bus and Tour Bus niches, in which ETK can also thrive. In general, I see a lot of potential for ETK in the European Pick-Up, Van, Truck and Bus niches!
Its due for a remaster like some of the other cars as we all know. Whenever we do get a remaster for it I am sure we will get stuff like that. Considering its based off one of the most popular tuner cars I am sure we will get a plethora of configs and stuff. Naturally being an owner of a 240sx I cant wait for the 200bx remaster. If the past few remasters are anything to go by I am sure we will not be disappointed.
Tbh, I'd like to see an Ibishu I6 that's not related to the 4.0 unit of the Hopper. The long-rumoured V8 swap is certainly great but an I6 swap (or even a standard I6 variant of the 200BX) would upgrade the experience with the car by quite a margin. Plus, a lore could also be created by putting a predecessor of the Ibishu I6 to the Miramar. Especially during the era of the Miramar (during which most Japanese car companies used I6s instead of V6s) and especially at racing, the Ibishu I6 engine could create its own in-lore myth to follow its successive generations. As for the V8s, they're great and I can't deny wanting them in the 200BX but, personally, I'd like to see something like the DH Outlaw using them. Seeing the extremely detailed tubular spaceframe designs and suspension parts and kinematics of the Ibishu Hopper Crawler and the Gavril D-Series Crawler, Rock Racer, Prerunner and SuperPig variants, I'm pretty sure that, if the dev team wants to, then they can add a small, light, custom and off-road-specialized vehicle like the DH Outlaw anytime in the future. After all, Gavril has multiple V8 engine options, both classic and modern ones, so the choices are pretty much endless. And let's not forget the existence of the 3-Speed Race Automatic Transmission.
